Black void of death!

*Sarcasm alert* Welcome to the updated Feralheart 1.15! Its a real show stopper lemme tell ya that!

Here is your login screen! Very black, we heard everyone is in love with a black and gold color scheme so we made sure to remove all colors but black and gold! Beautiful, isn't it?

Black is so popular we thought it'd be best if the character select screen and creation area was completely black as well! Now you don't have any pesky backgrounds interfering with designing your perfect cat or canine!

And after you've designed your perfect character in our minimalist character selection screen and enter the game, you'll be delighted to see your best map design ever!

This sexy black void! There's no way out of the black void. All your buttons will work, you can chat to people and whisper them all you want, the map is fine and you can edit your character's profile fine. But who needs maps with colors and trees when you can have this sexy black void? *end sarcasm*


IN ALL SERIOUSNESS.

This is what happens whenever I try to get on Feralheart, with the new update. I've tried everything to escape this black void but nothing's working. My original Feralheart files (pre-update) are off the computer, stored on my dropbox and dropbox disconnected, so they're not interfering with the new update. I've tried everything I could think of to fix this.

I've done an uninstall and a reinstall, still black void. I made a brand new character, they still spawn in the black void. I reset ALL my characters to a new home and they still spawn in a black void. EVERYTHING. Is a black void. I can connect and get in fine, but I can NOT get my characters actually -in- to the game. They float in this black void for all eternity... (Poor guys)

OS: Windows 10 Home
Processor: Intel Core 17-6700HQ CPU @ 2.60GHz
RAM: 16GB
System Type: 64-bit
Graphic Card: Nvidia GTX960M (Driver version 368.39)
(In short: Name any game, I can probably run it without issue. Except Feralheart....)

Have you tried restarting your router in case it could be something funky with the internet?
Have you also tried downloading the game another way?

Oh that's weird, the game can't find the maps. and your specs are overqualified for this game LOL

You sound like you know what you're doing here, so I'm not going to go step by step with all this:

Let's start by deleting the FeralHeart folder completely from your C: Drive, and grab a new copy of the installer heres mine. Install it again.

What rendering system are you using? Direct X is the recommended one, if you're OpenGL then switch to DirectX.

Usually the black void is caused when your character is in a map that doesn't exist anymore. But as you said there's no old version of FH to mess things up and you reset your characters. I'm sure you did, but did you also hit the GO HOME button too? I don't think it's that, especially since you have void 24/7/365 days a week even in the character creator.

If the above doesn't work then will you take a screenshot of this folder:

C:\FeralHeart\media\terrains\fhmaps

I guess it wouldn't hurt to make sure everything is in there.

I'd suggest deleting the whole FH folder and reinstalling the game.

Groundline, no router to restart. Internet is 100% fine on everything else.

Tried, with both OpenGL and Direct3D9. Also tried running it though my Nvidia and through Intel graphics. Results are the same. :/

I've always been a problem child it seems. xD Uninstalled, going to reinstall using your installer.. I'll get back to you in a couple minutes on if it worked. (Using Direct3D right now, I always do.)

UPDATE:
Huh this reinstall seemed to work! I HAVE BACKGROUNDS! (The character creation screen is white but I assume that's normal!) I don't know what the issue is but it seemed to resolved! Thank you guys so much! <3 Dankesehr!
