FH Interface: "Guide" ??
« on: June 22, 2016, 06:31:47 pm »
I'm making my own Feral Heart Interface Mod and I know exactly how to do it, how to color it, how to export it and all.
I've already done the basic buttons (movie, group, friends...).
Now I'm moving onto the more difficult ones like sliders and panels.
Is there such thing as a guide to showing you what means what? Like, it has a screenshot of FH and panels opened up and it's labeled with numbers telling you what is what?
Say you put a "1" next to the chat box panel, that 1 means it's a "textArea" thing. It shows "textArea" in your FH textures.
I doubt I explained this correctly, but please let me know! ono

I don't believe there is a certain guide that exists, but I could be wrong. Whenever I do interface mods I just guess and check. Is there a specific image(s) you are not sure what it corresponds with? I may be able to help ya out with figuring where things go. c:

Yea, I agree with Kynvuu, there isnt exactly a guide. Like everythign on Feral heart Modifications, doing it then checking to see if its how you want it always the best way to go.
Dont forget to save original stuff just in case though.

Well what I do, is take a picture of EVERYTHING.
Chatbox, buttons, the works and then go into the texture files and open them up and play the little 'matching game' with each of the textures.
It's not so bad once you know where everything is ~! I just managed to complete an entire interface ( minus the pictures ) by doing this trick and just experiment. If there was something I didn't like, I reset it as default again since I have the files backed up.

Not saying this little technique is right for everyone but it's a simple tip since I couldn't really find a guide that had pictures or whatnot when I was looking this up. ^^

I bet people would love a referable sheet to look at. I literally open Everything I can in GIMP, change the colors, then check it all at once. If I dont like it, I just ctrl+z it and start again.
