Character Looks Trouble
« on: July 13, 2016, 04:42:37 am »
Alright here goes for some explaining about the issue I am currently having. I am not sure if this is just a bug, but I definitely want some help of some sort with this.

With the new game, I downloaded the new Legendary Items and Markings packs. Now for most people, yeah the characters are messed up for pretty much everyone in the new game, as far as I know.
Basically, I was trying to fix my characters to the best of my ability to their old selves. I did this by keeping the old version and new version out at the same time and using the old one as my characters' references.
Now finally when I finish a character to move onto fixing the next one I have, and then finish with that, I go back to the character I did before to see that it completely reverted back to its messed up form, meaning it went back to the way it looked before I fixed/changed/edited it.

Hopefully there is no confusion in what I mean by all of this. Help would be very gladly appreciated.
I understand this is the new version and that it might have some bugs, but this is a little annoying and I see nothing wrong with seeing if there's at least a tiny bit of help out there.

Thank you. Best of hopes <3

My game logics aren't too impressive but I'll take a shot...

Have you tried resetting all your characters' homes yet? If not, try doing so first.

Maybe change rendering systems? I'm not sure what significant difference that would make but you never know.

The reason is ye had two versions of the same character up in character creator, and therefore, FH kept the original version which shows up with incorrect markings now that y'er using the updated version of Legendary Markings.

Try screenshotting the original look and using that as a reference when ye go to edit y'er characters.

Tmw you planned a ten minute nap but instead took a whole year.

I don't think you understood me ^^; That's exactly what I was doing and all of that is already figured out/understood in this case.

Resetting the homes kind of worked? It worked for some of the characters, meaning some of the character I tried to edit again saved the actual edits. The other ones I tried did not save their edits.

While it may seem too simple to overlook, make sure when you're done editing you click "Done", otherwise it won't save the changes.

You are amazing <3

OK,  there's a start then! If you just reset your characters' homes but haven't sent them home, send them home too so that they're all in Lonely Cave when you log onto them.

But what Enoki said might be a possibility too, which FH is saving two different versions at once. Maybe only click done in the new FH and click cancel in the old one so the old one isn't saving a character if you're clicking edit to see what colors and customizations it has?
