Downloaded presets won't work dispite being in the right folder.

Hi there,

So I downloaded a lot of presets. And when I mean a lot, I mean A LOOOOOT, but I never had a problem with them.
They always worked fine.

And now, most presets refuse to work. I download them right, put them in the Presets folder, restart FH but NOPE. I get rejected by them.

Does anyone know why?
Since I'm doing, at least I think, everything right.

They aren't showing up in preset maker? Are you sure that the coding is all matched up with the files?

Nononono, other people's presets.
Mine work fine, no problem.

It's when I download a preset of someone else, they simply don't work.

Oh goodness I am so very sorry for that. ^^;
I've noticed that a lot of people have been having issues with downloading other people's presets. Make sure the name of the files match up to their username exactly

It could be that your friends are giving you the wrong files, perhaps ask them to double check

But, one thing I've noticed is that since the login tab has been placed, downloading presets have had one extra step (at least for me): to log out of the login tab first. Don't know why, but before placing a preset file into your game make sure that both FH isn't open and that you aren't logged in on the tab

Neh, my friend knows perfectly fine which files to give me.
Everything is right. The files, the folders. They simply don't show up.

I tried that extra step, but that doesn't seem to work either.

Some presets work, some don't. It's strange.

It could be that the preset file ye downloaded was corrupted. Ask y'er friend to reupload the file f'er ye to download, but be sure that when ye add it, ye remove the "(1)" from the file name.

The files are all fine. 

Also, I can't imagine like 4 people having the same faulty preset file.

Did they make the preset themselves or is this a pre-made preset? It could be an exporting issue with the actual texture files.

To add on what as been said; make sure there are no numbers after the preset.
ex. D-ead7Dog_3.fhp(1) or some random number in the (__)
