I'm thinking a file or folder may have accidentally been deleted. Often times there are files in the temp folder that can sometimes affect it. If you've already tried reinstalling and attempting to use it on both subsystems (Direct3D9 and OpenGL), I recommend reisntalling again, but make sure that you delete the FeralHeart folder as well to make sure there are no residual files when it reinstalls.
