Map Servers and Blank BAckgrounds

Hey all,
I just downloaded the update patch, and my character create screen is just a blank white every time I log in, making it neigh impossible to see anything and actually create a character.
After I get past that and try to get in game, I keep getting a failure message from the map servers.
As far as the white screen, I read the other thread and tried using both of the 3D rendering options but it doesn't change anything.
Any help?

As far as the message about the map servers goes, are you using the "http://feral-heart.com/login/index.php" log in thing and leaving it as an open page?  (you probably are) but newly created characters should be landing in the new maps so you don't have to reset their homes..  The new creation screen is fairly white but the buttons should still be visible, are you having trouble finding the buttons?

Yes, I've had the page open. Now I'm trying to run it through a refresher like someone suggested in another thread to see if it works. Is the new character screen supposed to be just white int he back like that? I fiddled with some minor things and think I got the transparency of the buttons to go away. The map servers are just struggling for me still. It very well may just be crappy wifi.

The white background is meant to be there, it's not a glitch, but Twisted already offered you a prettier solution.

If the login page is staying logged in, it shouldn't be a problem with that. If that were the issue, you wouldn't be able to make it to your character selection screen.

Have you reset your characters' homes?

That handy thread shows you how to do so via the site, if needed. As far as the game is concerned, your characters are still in the old maps, which cannot be connected to. Hopefully resetting their homes to the new Lonely Cave map should do the trick.
