Cannot Connect
« on: December 14, 2016, 04:03:42 am »
this is an issue that i've had since the login page came about. i've done a bit of rooting around for a solution as well as asked around but it seems no one else is having a problem quite like this?
when connected to any other wifi i have no problems, however when at my dad's i get a 'failed to connect to front server' box in response to my attempts to log in. his internet isn't terribly slow. because of this i think it may be a problem with my IP? i dunno how to fix it tho.
i've made sure that my cookies were enabled, turned off my proxy and all that good stuff, and even tried accessing the page through the 'play game' tab found on the site, so my only remaining guess is a problem with the IP? maybe one of you smart, technology-savvy friendos can help yes yes.

Maybe try restarting the router? If it's just that wifi connection then maybe a simple reboot will help

You could also maybe try flushing your DNS cache. It could be that the connect issue is coming from the tab page, which this might do some good. I don't know for sure if that's the issue that it's having but it's worth a shot. I'll assume you're using Windows 10, if not I can try to help find you a tutorial for your OS:

I recommend restarting your computer after you make any changes like this ^^

You mentioned something about using a proxy. Have you tried using it while running the play game tab? If you're thinking it's an ip problem, that might help ya

I have hard times connecting too. I don't know what it is because I have quite a few characters, maybe seven to 13? Feral-Heart will only load one character whereas the others are always getting a 'Couldn't connect'. I'll click 'ok' but then it either freezes, keeps on loading, or I get another 'Couldn't connect'. The one character loads just fine, can get into other places just fine, everything is fine so I don't understand why everybody else won't load.

You may want to try opening the log in page from a different browser. Also, if you cannot get your characters to load in the maps, try resetting their homes and sending them home through the user panel here on the site.

You could try updating your network adapter drivers. Idk, i'm pullin' at straws. But first, make a system restore point in case the drivers mess ya up even more. I'd look for a driver updater software. Sometimes, it's easier to do it through one of them. I've used IOBit's Driver Booster software. You can also find it manually, you'll just have to do a bit of searchin'

As for the character issue, do the reset as Kynvuu pointed out and if you still are having the issues loading the characters you may have to remake them entirely. But, i'm almost positive resetting their homes will help
