This is so nice! You should try to do more! And as a person struggling with digital art for 3 years I tell you that smudge tool is good and useful, but kinda dangerous sometimes. It also depends on style you use. For example people using cel-shading smudge stuff very rarely. The way you used it is totally fine, just don't overuse it, be careful and it's gonna be oki C:
