Importing .skeleton to Blender 2.49b?
« on: January 04, 2017, 07:34:35 pm »
So I've tried to import the skeleton file onto the .mesh to make animations and poses, but I'm not exactly sure as to how to do that. Any advice? I've tried to convert it to .skeleton.xml and import it, but it still refuses to work, and gives me the python error. Any help would be much appreciated! c:

To note, I have followed this little handy thing (except used 32bit Blender and Python, since 64bit python isn't compatible with 32bit Blender.), and gotten this far. Now I just need the skeleton.

If I'm missing something and this isn't necessary, please do tell. I'm brand new to 2.49b's layout, and I'm more used to 2.78a.

Thank you in advance!

I'm not incredibly familiar with python, and I've only scratched the surface of blender 2.49, but you HAVE to make sure your downloaded version of Python is compatible with an older version of Blender.

You are amazing <3

yes, i've done that. python 2.6.6 is compatible with blender 2.49b, at least from what I'm aware, and what all the tutorials say. otherwise it wouldn't work at all. I wouldn't be able to import the .mesh.xml if i hadn't.
Also, Blender always says "Compiled with Python version 2.6.6... Got it!" so I'm pretty sure that's it.
