AAdoption Center
NounA player who creates a character, naming it Adoption Center, and sits in a populated area, such as The Grounds. Players who create 'baby' characters, such as pups, kits, cubs, etc. will flock to this person and hope to be adopted by another player's character. The Adoption Center will advertise on behalf of the 'babies'.
Administrator/Admin
NounAdministrators, or admins, are the highest tier of the staff system in regards to seniority. The admins oversee the forums, the game, and the other staff members. They are in charge of resolving major issues as well as smaller ones, training new staff, and keeping peace within the community while being overall friendly people.
Ascension Island/AI
NounA map associated with the 'old' Feral Heart, pre-June update. The map was small though a land ramp led up to a series of floating stones that spiraled upwards into the sky. The goal was to make it all the way to the top without falling off, where you would find a portal to Sky's Rim.
Atlantis
NounA map associated with the 'old' Feral Heart, pre-June update. This map fully submerged in water save for an island in the very center and some scattered islands along the edge. Stone ruins and caves dotted the sandy floor while keeping hidden a secret portal to Last Cave.
Bbb/bby/bab
NounEither of these three terms is short for baby or bebe, either in terms of endearment or in reference to a good friend.
Bio-Stalk
VerbBio-stalking refers to simply viewing other character's in-game biographies.
Bonfire Island/BI
NounA map associated with the 'old' Feral Heart, pre-June update. This map was most popular for its bizarre roleplays, its Lion King roleplays, and its Mate/Adoption centers. Many members went to Bonfire Island to goof off and have fun with others, stranger or friend.
Bonfire Islands/BI
NounThe new and improved Bonfire Island, though the names are similar, Bonfire Island
s actually features more than one actual island. This map can be accessed through the following map chain: Lonely Cave>The Grounds>Eastern Pass>Bonfire Islands
CCouch
NounNot an actual couch. This term refers to players sitting or laying on another player's character, therefore dubbing them as a couch.
Char/Charrie
NounSlang for character.
Cape of Distant Worlds/Cape
NounCape of Distant Worlds is a map within game where you will find the portals to other maps you have downloaded. This includes portals to maps that you have made yourself. This map can be accessed through the following map chain: Lonely Cave>Cape of Distant Worlds
Cherika Valley
NounCherika Valley is a relatively large map found within Feral Heart 1.15. It is a popular map for roleplaying groups to setup camp. This map can be accessed through the following map chain: Lonely Cave>The Grounds>Ficho Tunnels>Cherika Valley

EEastern Pass
NounThis map is medium in size and holds many rocky areas for roleplay groups to hide away. This map can be accessed through the following map chain: Lonely Cave>The Grounds>Eastern Pass
FFicho Tunnels
NounThe new and improved version of the original Ficho Tunnel. This map is much larger than the old one and sports a vast maze of tunnels rather than just one straight tunnel. This map can be accessed through the following map chain: Lonely Cave>The Grounds>Ficho Tunnels
Fluorite Plains/FP
NounA map associated with the 'old' Feral Heart, pre-June update. This map was among the most popular as it was extremely large and allowed roleplay groups to be spread out. Significant landmarks often thought of when FP comes up are the Stone Bridge (SB), the Plus, and L Island.
Floof/Fluff
Noun1. Floof, in terms of the site, is a form of good karma that you may give and receive based on a player's kindness and/or helpfulness towards others. You can give floof by clicking the "Nuzzle" button found on a member's mini-profile.
2. Floof, or fluff, may also be given as a cutsie nickname, or used as a name placeholder. Example) Hey there, floof!
F3
VerbA player can press their F3 keyboard button while in-game in order to move their camera around freely without their character moving.
Fursona
NounA fursona is an animalistic representation of one's self. Most members on Feral Heart have a fursona, on which they base their in-game characters off of, or in which they create their fursona using the character creator.
Feral Heart Official Roleplay Day/FHORD/ORD
NounA day designated to roleplaying. this is an official event in which a specific day is chosen where every member is encouraged to roleplay, whether it be with someone they know, or with a complete stranger.
Feral Heart Official Radio
NounA staff hosted radio streamed live on Livestream where members can go listen to music chosen by the hosts and requests songs to be played.
Feral Heart Official Movie Night
NounA staff hosted event where members can watch a pre-chosen movie via Livestream while chatting with staff and other members. Players can also bring the social conversation in-game to the FH Cinema map.
Feral Heart Official Preset Contest
NounThe Feral Heart Preset Contest is a seasonal event that challenges members to create their best preset based on a set theme. The winner is chosen by staff judges after the end date.
Feral Heart Official Parties
NounThese are events held every year, hosted by the staff, each usually coming with their own maps. They are very popular and a large chunk of the community attend.

GThe Grounds
NounThe Grounds is the hub map introduced in the June update. Most roleplay groups advertise here while other members simply socialize. The portals to four other maps can be found within the Grounds. This map can be accessed through the following map chain: Lonely Cave>The Grounds
God-Modder/God-Modding
Noun/VerbIn the sense of a verb, god-modding is the action of roleplaying a character with invincibility that always hits, destroys, or kills their target without the opposing character's consent or ability to react or 'dodge'. It's highly frowned upon in most roleplays.
Global Moderator/GM/Global Mod/Global
NounGlobal moderators are the middle tier of the staff system in regards to seniority. These staff members are in charge of overseeing the forums and in-game relations. They deal with major and minor issues alike while upholding good relations with the community and being overall friendly people.
HHuh
NounInterdimensional beings/Peace bringing aliens whom frequent The Grounds. This species sets out to prove that it's okay to be different, to be yourself, and to offer peace when possible. They offer their support and a place to go if a user feels lost or alone.
"Our colors represent only this, as, our philosophy flag happens to be orange white and pink, and since then, we believe those who follow our custom-tailored philosophies of peace and unrelated members of a family have every right to wear it proudly on feral heart (and any other media that we may be on), and this is the only reason we appear this way." - Omeghuh
IIlliterate
AdjectiveIn roleplaying terms, this means that you are incapable of roleplaying with proper grammar, punctuation, capitalization, and overall sentence structure. Most groups advertise as literate, which is the opposite.
In Character/IC
AdjectiveThis term is used when you are referring to you or your character's words/actions as having been part of the roleplay.

NounA medium sized map featuring a serene tropical beach environment, popular to roleplay casually in. This map can be accessed through the following map chain: Lonely Cave>The Grounds>Eastern Pass>Kiwimbi Beach
LLiterate
AdjectiveIn roleplaying terms, this means you roleplay using proper grammar, punctuation, capitalization, and can form long, descriptive sentences. Most groups advertise as literate.
Lonely Cave
Noun This new and improved map is the starting place for all new characters. You will instantly appear here if you login with a character you have never placed before.
Last Cave
Noun A map associated with the 'old' Feral Heart, pre-June update. This map was quite large featuring a center island and some scattered ones around the edge. The rest of the map was filled in with water and donned no decorative meshes; the portal was hidden away in an underwater cave in Atlantis.
Login Page/Login Tab
NounThe Login Page is a newer feature, showing up just before the June update. It was implemented when hackers overtook Feral Heart staff accounts and carried out inappropriate actions with them. The login page must now be kept open while you play Feral Heart or you will be logged off, this was added as a safety measure.
Legendary Markings/Items
NounMass Marking and Mass Item packs that members can download to expand the markings and items available to them during character creation.
Loin
NounA typo for lion, though it has widely become somewhat of a joke to refer to a lion character as a 'loin'.
MMapped/Mapless
AdjectiveIn terms of roleplaying, this means a group either has a map that they require you to download if you are to join them, or are based in one of the default FH maps.
Moderator/Mod/Mode (Typo)
NounA moderator, or mod, is the lower tier of the staff system in regards of seniority. These staff are in charge of overseeing the forums and making sure all is well in-game. They edit, move, and lock threads, dish out consequence to rule breakers, and keep up good relations with the community while being overall friendly people.
Mate Beg/Mate Beggar
Verb/NounIn the sense of a verb, to mate beg is to publicly ask other players to be their character's mate. A mate beggar is a member who actively and consistently does this.
Mate Center
NounA player who creates a character, naming it Mate Center, and sits in a populated area such as The Grounds. They advertise their ability to 'match-make' by drawing in single characters. The mate center asks one person to sit in the center of the crowd and anyone who wants to be their mate is supposed to walk into the center and join them.
Mass Markings/MM
NounMass Markings is a common name for the massive markings pack that most members download in order to expand upon the markings available for customization in the character creator.
Marshmallow
AdjectiveA player who has not downloaded mass markings will see any players who are wearing them as completely white, often referring to them as a marshmallow.
Member of the Season/MOTS
NounThe MOTS is an event held every season on the FH website that encourages members to vote for other members whom they believe to have been the most helpful or kind. Members are first nominated and those who qualify by the end date (have at least 3 nominations), are added to a poll where the top 3 voted members are announced the winners.
Mature
AdjectiveA roleplay group will advertise as mature if its roleplaying content contains blood, gore, PG-13 to R rated topics, or simply prefer a level of seriousness in character or out of character.
NNoob/Newbie
NounA term for a member who is new and has not yet fully understood their surroundings.
Neon
AdjectiveReferring to a character who's character is very brightly colored.
Nugget
NounShallow's special name for special people. Example) Me.
OOut of Character/OOC
AdjectiveReferring to you or your character's words/actions as having not been part of the roleplay.
PPlotted
AdjectiveThis is a term used by roleplay groups when they are advertising or explaining their rp goals. A plotted rp means that it has a story line in affect that members will interact with.
Preset
NounA custom design that a player will make for their character. Only by downloading the preset can other players see it in-game.
Power Player
NounSomeone who gives their character unusually god-like abilities and claims to be invincible while imposing upon others their character's powers. Another term for this is God-Modder.

RRoleplay Sample/RPS/RPSR
NounA roleplay sample is usually required by groups who advertise as literate. This simply means that before they allow you to join their group, you will need to send them a small sample of how you roleplay so they may assess it for themselves to determine if you meet their required level of literacy. RPSR=Roleplay Sample Required
SStaff/Staffer/Staff Member
NounThe staff are a team of trusted and responsible members who have been trained to respond maturely to issues and situations and enforce the rules. However, the staff team does much more, such as providing the community with fun events, a radio, contests, and of course, kindness and caring.
Seaside Grove
NounA medium sized map with a shallow beach environment. This map can be accessed through the following map chain: Lonely Cave>The Grounds>Seaside Grove OR Lonely Cave>Seaside Grove
Sky's Rim
NounA map associated with the 'old' Feral Heart, pre-June update. Sky's Rim was a large floating island surrounded by smaller floating islands, most connected by ramps. The only way to access this map was by completing the Ascension Island challenge, where flying was disabled. Flying was re-enabled upon entering Sky's Rim.
South Pole
NounA map associated with the 'old' Feral Heart, pre-June update. This map was quite large and consisted only of large, rolling, snow covered hills. Populated mostly by huskies, South Pole was popular, despite it's bareness. The secret portal to Atlantis was found hidden in a corner of this map.
Sparkle Dog
NounA player whose character is made up entirely of bright, neon colors.
Sited
AdjectiveIf a group is advertising as 'sited', this means they have an official website dedicated to their roleplay. You'll most often find group information, downloads, plots, and more.
TTemple of Dreams
NounA map associated with the 'old' Feral Heart, pre-June update. ToD was a very small map, though within was a series of stone ramps, rings, and platforms that structured upwards. This map was never very populated, but was a quiet, serene place to relax and talk with friends. The portal was found in Fluorite Plains.
Troll
NounA member who purposely sets out to annoy and irritate other players by any means necessary.
UUser Panel
NounThe User Panel, located at the top right of the website's homepage, is a portal link that takes you to a number of useful items. These include the character reset grid, preset uploader for preset sync, username change form, email change form, full account reset, and delete account form. WWolf-Speak
NounWolf-speak is a term given to a set of vocabulary varying greatly from your average words. Words are usually replaced by scientific alternatives or synonyms. Example) Banner=Tail, Cranium=Skull/Head, Pillars=Legs, Audits=Ears, etc.
Warrior Cat/WC
NounA character or group (clan) based on the best-selling book series "Warriors" by Erin Hunter. Warrior cat clans are generally set up like a tribe, where a social system is set up based on seniority and experience, though the cats are wild and will usually claim a territory, vowing to protect it from enemy clans.

ZZama Grotto
NounA map added in the update whose unique feature is that it's an underwater cave. You can find corals and shells along with sea grass and soothing music while swimming with the fishes.
