Game Freezing- RESOLVED
« on: February 25, 2017, 10:05:21 pm »
Recently, after updating to the newer version of FH, I have been having problems with the game. I have no idea if other players are having this problem but I'll explain what I am experiencing and perhaps someone will have input on this problem.
I could be playing the game for any amount of time, whether I'm just starting up the game or if I've been playing for hours. The game will suddenly freeze, but my character can still move according to others even though I myself cannot see it happening then if I minimize the game and pull it back up or if I change the windows size the screen will go black. I've never been able to just wait it out, I'd always have to close the window and restart my game. This could also happen if I am at the character loading screen, it will just freeze.
This never really happened before the new version of FH came out, so I'm wondering if there might be something in my Feral Heart file that could be causing this or maybe if it is just my PC suddenly rejecting the game?

And I have also tried re-installing the game but the freezing continues. It seems to get worse and worse the longer I play the game.
Also, the server suddenly kicks me from the maps now and again? If I change from map to map it will also cause my game to freeze.

Please help me if you're able! If you have anything that you think could be causing the problem or if you yourself have been experiencing something of the sort!

EDIT: Tried changing the rendering system and it still didn't work

You can try changing your rendering system and see if that will help it a bit.

Have you looked into reinstalling some video card drivers?
Here's a helpful link to show you how to locate your video/graphics card and then you can do some research on the latest drivers from there: http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000258.htm

Are you receiving bad tokens? How's your internet connection? Sometimes the internet connection of the users trying to play the game might be weak and this can cause you to not being able to connect or staying online for a longer time.

I suggest you to turn off your Water Reflection from the game options. Run your game and before logging in, click "Esc", then choose "Options", go to "Video" and scroll down until you find "Water Reflection". After that, remove the tick in order to turn off your Water Reflection.
Other thing you can do is to reset your character's home from here:
User Panel
Type in your nickname & password and at the top of the page you'll see a "Character Reset". Click "Reset Home" and then "Go Home" on all of your characters. Hope this helps!

I haven't received any bad tokens and I am across from the roader in my house. I've also always had my water reflections off and I've reset my characters before but nothing has worked.

Yeah, definitely give it a try. I wish you luck! There is also an automatic driver updater that works really well in some cases. I don't use it for my video card drivers personally because I have a Nvidia card and I have the software that updates just Nvidia cards. I recommend creating a System Restore point before you do anything.

Here is the driver updater software that I use, incase you're interested (completely safe to download): http://www.iobit.com/en/driver-booster.php

Edit: If you need some help, post what video card you have here and I can help you try to find some drivers for it.

Thank you for the driver! My game was going smoothly for a while then it began freezing yet again and now I can barely get on the game without it freezing.

My graphic cards are Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600 and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M

Still hoping there is something that can stop this ;;

That's a really nice card, so it's odd that it's having this issue. To upgrade the drivers did you use the IOBit updater? If so, you might want to try getting your drivers from NVIDIA (unless you have already, I'm not sure) http://www.geforce.com/geforce-experience

Could also be a non driver issue but i'm ruling that out first.
