You can get a job, go around to neighbors and do chores for them (even though you don't wanna do that in this city), sell stuff you make, or ask for donations. I recommend a job or selling stuff you make.

They might have an old thing, one example is a favourite bowl or dish, it's broken, pieces are missing, why fix it?  With gold and pieces from other dishes?
