Help! Please! I've messed up and stuck on how to fix it!

Basically, the thing is  that  i listened to a friend online who told me how to fix my 'default' (maps the game comes with) maps problem and how some of them aren't working (not letting me in or crashing when i enter the portal). I listened to their instructions and when i followed them, i think what happened was a mistake. When i started fh up again, and pressed play, the whole world was black. Like when you go into a map you no longer have, and everything's black (nothings there anymore).
I think, by looking at the dates, i copied and pasted the 2017 maps to the old 2016 ones, which are no longer compatible with the current fh version?
Here, i took some screenshots. Hope it helps so you can see what i kinda did. Pay attention to the files up top, and dates in the files please. Maybe you could see something i missed, and hopefully find out a way to help me get the compatible 2017 map files back so i can play the game again

I'm pretty worried about this, because I've recently put a lot of effort into a group and its website, not to mention a preset. I'd hate for all of that to be for nothing. Also i'd be worried about not talking to my friends again, so please, get back to me when/if you can.

So just for clarification, you're replacing the old maps with the updated ones, by the images, yes? Did you download the individual maps or did you install the overhaul from the official downloads?

I suggest you to do a clean reinstall of the game and install it again. Make sure to make a copy of all the maps, screenshots, presets, etc you may want to keep, so you can put them back in the new reinstalled folder. After you successfully install the game, follow this tutorial because your characters will be stuck in the old maps: Getting out of the Black Void

May i ask one more thing.
To do a clean reinstall of the game, is that basically downloading the game all over again? Like what one would do for an update?

Yah. Put everything you want to keep ingame to anoter folder. Deinstall FH, and delete everything that wasnt deinstalled (it tends to do that). Download it again, install and put back your files you wanted to keep (Presets, downloaded maps etc.).
