Animation Sync Suggestion
« on: May 31, 2017, 10:06:34 pm »
This is just an idea, and in no way do I expect anyone to agree or even want it to happen but; here it is.

We all either love or hate the preset sync, yes?
Well, what about an animation sync? Like, everyone who is using /public/ animations are able to upload so others can see. Meaning, everyone in game will either have their own or similar animations. It'd make players and the game more unique, and maybe even boost the fun factor a tad. I mean, you see everyone with the animations you have, it does grow tiring.
Again, I do not expect this to ever happen. Just an idea.

That would require the source-code that staff doesnt have. But would be of course nice to have more anims.

Honestly....I'm not quite sure about this idea. While it would be nice to be able to sync up what everyone else sees, I don't know if there would be a point to it, since when you use animations, you see everyone else running around as such. Plus, syncs sometimes have issues and not everyone could use them.

But a thoughtful idea nonetheless.

This would be a very nice addition. Though it would have it's complications, as Azura pointed out, perhaps in a perfect world with the source code we could at the very least upload the most polished/popular animations to avoid too much lag or overcrowding in the list.

I can only imagine this becoming possible if animations become a feature of the game that works like a preset and people are able to upload "files" of their animations. This, like Tigg pointed out, would require the source code which we do not have access to.

However, this is a really neat idea. If it were possible I can imagine how fun it would be! Thank you for sharing.

So it would be like ...small cats have the small cat animations and you see them as such, while the big cats had bigger ones?  Interesting idea.

If we found a way to, this would be a wonderful idea.

How was the source code lost in the first place? Is there a single person who can latch onto it?

The source code wasn't really "lost".

When Kovu left no one knew where he went, meaning there was no way for anyone to contact him.
Kovu took the source code with them, and well, now the staff can't really do any major updates to the game, quite saddening really.

Internet rumours suggest the source was reverse engineered by some game modder circle while others say an early version exists out there somewhere...

Oh. Our only hope is to ask around and see if anyone has seen him. Like Sai from Petz.
