This sounds an awful lot like overheating and I have strong doubts it could be anything else. Though other games may be more graphically intensive, most of that graphics processing will be on the GPU so your GPU will be getting hotter in those circumstances. An overheating GPU doesn't cause your computer to shutdown, therefore it must be the CPU! FeralHeart will consume a whole CPU core + some to run a loop. It will make your CPU get a lot hotter than it should, but since this wasn't a problem before, it could be an indication that your CPU fan is going bad and may need to be replaced. Does your fan sound different than before the update? You may be able to see the RPM that it's spinning at in the BIOS, but that'll only be useful if you can find out what RPM it should normally run at.
You can use a tool like Core Temp (
http://www.alcpu.com/CoreTemp/) to monitor CPU temperatures in real-time to see when you're about to overheat if that is the case. The TjMax field usually contains the manufacturer's specified operating temperature limit, so be wary when your cores go beyond that, if they do. That (will) hopefully let you know with some certainty if overheating is the problem.
Even when the display driver crashes, Windows just reloads it without shutting down, so I think it's safe to roll that possibility out. =3
