I've been tinkering away for a long time at a warrior-cats roleplay, Beyond the Barley Fields,
which will probably be the last roleplay I'll ever have the time to host as I head towards college this fall,
and have been a
one-woman show (Update: my long lost co-admin has reunited with me LOL) in terms of map-making/website-making/writing.
I understand that while it's possible to prepare a roleplay by myself, managing a
roleplay by myself would be unrealistic for me at this time.
The roleplay would be ready to open next week but as I'm a one-person staff "team" at the moment
and am scheduled to be away for a week from the 21st-28th I'm nervous about opening it prior to my absence.
Having a team of staff to take care of management and daily/near daily recruitment in my absence
could make
this a possibility, however. Otherwise, the roleplay is expected to open June 30th.
The
map is about 1/5 complete and highly detailed/mesh-heavy but according to my map testers, not laggy.
The
website's aesthetics are complete, but I've yet to get most of the plot down on paper, so it's quite bare.
The
Discord server is setup and ready to go.
While it is a warrior cats roleplay, it's "untraditional" in the sense that the groups are actually 1 Clan,
splintered into 2 factions; this roleplay is more inspired by SkyClan's Destiny than the main book series
to give you an idea. The setting of the roleplay is a Northern Colorado Valley. Both groups
will have a "team" of leaders (OOC sense) via multiple high-ranks and no specific leader-ranks;
all high ranks will have the ability to create faction-specific plot events. This approach is to avoid
a group dying from an inactive leader and to keep roleplaying fresh. The roleplay uses traditional
Warrior Cats ranks save for the high-ranks and a few special ranks that are in abundance to give plenty of
members a chance to have a go at the more unique roles.
