Opening the Launch Settings?
« on: July 03, 2017, 09:51:40 pm »
Recently I have gotten back into the game, but when I entered Cherika Valley not too long ago, the game suddenly decided to crash and reset all of my settings, which made it unable for me to make the game run at 1080p unless I could change it via the launch settings, which won't show up. Instead, I get a small black window that quickly just opens up into the game.

This wouldn't be a massive problem, as I am not exactly a graphics purist by any means, but I like to tab out if nothing's happening on a roleplay or in a group so I can watch a quick youtube video then pop back in again to check. With the game running at potato pixels I can't get the game to tab out. Instead it shows my taskbar (zoomed in mind you) and when I click on any other open tab nothing happens. Could someone tell me how to open the launch menu so I can fix the issue?

I think having you open the ogre.cfg file will help you fix your problem. You can make changes to the ogre.cfg file, including your screen resolution. Open the ogre.cfg file under C:\FeralHeart with the program called Notepad. You should get something that looks like this:

Where it says "Video Mode=" in your ogre.cfg, replace the resolutions that are currently in yours with a larger one. You could try 1920x1080 but it might be too large for your monitor as it is in pixels. Mine is set at 1600 x 1100

Note: Make sure you change both the Direct3D9 and OpenGL "Video Mode=". (You will see it twice within the ogre.cfg, that's what I mean)

If you intentionally crash the game it normally comes up with the settings window.
Or try opening the game while it's still running, that's what i sometimes do to get the window again.

The closest concept in english would be 'rustic'
They might have an old thing, one example is a favourite bowl or dish, it's broken, pieces are missing, why fix it?  With gold and pieces from other dishes?

Simply delete the file `config.good` that lives in the folder `FeralHeart/` (wherever it may be) and it will prompt you for settings again. You can make it toggle the render system to configure by clicking cancel and running the program again (or so it did when I tried).
