Having some log in problems with the game... [RESOLVED!]

RESOLVED - The game sorted itself out... Sorry for causing any bother if I did x.x



Ok, so. This began on Saturday when I tried to log into FH after a whole night of rping with a group...

At the moment, whenever I log into FH (I am logged into the site log in page [the page you have to keep open] while this is going on) and it'll tell me that it can't connect to the front server, which is normal does that all the time. So I re-entre my details and it comes up "Request accepted, logging in" about a minute later it will tell me the connection is lost but I am still logged into the page you need to keep open.

I have tried re-opening the app, re-staring my laptop and even uninstalling and re-installing the game... Is this something that will resolve itself or is FH over for me? Which I hope it isn't... I've been playing this game for a long time...

You might have a proxy which can cause connection issues between connecting to the login tab and connecting to the game.
Do you by chance know if you have any proxies within your browser?

A proxy or proxy server is basically another computer which serves as a hub through which internet requests are processed. By connecting through one of these servers, your computer sends your requests to the proxy server which then processes your request and returns what you were wanting. In this way it serves as an intermediary between your home machine and the rest of the computers on the internet. Proxies are used for a number of reasons such as to filter web content, to go around restrictions such as parental blocks, to screen downloads and uploads and to provide anonymity when surfing the internet. - WhatIsMyIP.com

Proxies will make it so the IP address of your browser (where you're connecting to the login tab page from) and the IP address that you're connecting to the game client with are different from one another, thus, causing connectivity issues. If you are unsure if you are running a proxy, try this:

- Go to https://feral-heart.com/myip/ and make note of what IP address is listed there in the upper left corner. Do not post that IP address here as that is for your eyes only.
- Then, download this http://www.feral-heart.com/myip.zip, run it, and see what IP address it gives you when it is complete.

If these two do not match then you are likely running a proxy in your browser.

I've been having this problem all day as well, and I really want to find a fix for it but I don't know whats causing it in the first place. I did try the things listed above, except for restarting my router or using mobile. However wouldn't connecting from mobile  cause the browser and game to have different IP's?

I haven't logged in for a while, but the only change to my computer I can think of is that it installed updates since the last time I played. I've been playing FH for many years though so I really want to find out why it's doing this. ^^;

I just made an account today and I'm also having this issue...

edit: oh......nevermind i didnt know about the page you have to keep open to play the game.....

why is that though? why is there a site you have to keep open to play?

It is a security measure against hackers.
