Heightmap keeps crashing.... Again.
« on: August 16, 2017, 03:31:36 am »
So I just made a heightmap and I can't get it to work at all. Yes, it's grayscale, 512x512, no alpha channel, and flattened. I'm using gimp..

Unless me's mistaken, the height map should be 513x513, actually.

Vespian is correct, heightmaps are 513x513.

Feel free to use this:

It's just a flat, standard heightmap for getting started, so it has everything set up already.
Note: You can change the .jpg to .png by using "file > save as" if you want to keep using .png, which makes the map smoother. =)
For the sake of my own health and interests, I've left FH and I won't be looking back.
