Timezones can be pesky obstacles if you have friends in different timezones, so there may be a bit of strategic scheduling needed to organize time to chat with one another. In quite a few cases, it seems as though your friends have been at least partially available during times you've been online in the past, or else you wouldn't have met (with a few exceptions), so that can definitely help, but you do have to make time for it; for those who work jobs or go to school, it can difficult to navigate. If you have the time, it's doable. It's tricky, though.~
I think there is an abundancy of American players in Feral Heart's userbase, which is why those early hours in your time zone are peak hours. Many of the folks I know on the game I had met during the evening hours in Eastern Time, so even for the people whom experience very late or very early hours during the EST evening, it's still doable. They can be a pain, though, and it gets tough when scheduling for parties or meet-ups, because there will inevitably occur some kind of time-administered obstacle.
During the down-times, there are hidden opportunities, though. c: With all of the craziness absent in the maps, there are probably a few people whom are looking for the same thing as you are-- a roleplay, an opportunity, something to do. Even with fewer Feralheartians around, there's still room for creating some bonds and forming an enjoyable roleplay. ^^
