Map Mask Textures are Black (SOLUTION FOUND)

This is my map mask. Completely 255 RGB colours. When this up in FH, this happens:
https://imgur.com/a/DxHqb

I've checked over the RGB colours (255 max per colour), checked its in RGB format too. 513x513
All fine. Tex 1 and Tex 2 overlap each other, and Tex 3 just doesn't exist.

Really not sure whats happening, would love some help.

Are you making sure there's only 1 layer before saving?
Or perhaps you could make a new canvas with the correct settings & copy/paste the mask onto it, flatten the layers and try re-saving? I know that sometimes helps me.

I have, yeah. I've already tried creating new masks too. I've practically double checked everything in that respect, thanks for the response, btw. I will try "flattening" this, I've never done that before, thanks.

PS: Flattening didn't work.
(I've never had this trouble before, apart from today)

Judging by how your HUD is see through, I'm guessing you're running on OpenGL. Have you tried switching to Direct3D9 and testing it that way?

I have, yeah, through windows troubleshoot mode to change settings fast, and rendering system ofc.

Hi!! after a long research, i finally found you a hopeful solution... From looking at a thread, black & yellow lines on a map means that the texture is missing, apparently.

This is something i took from a thread with a similar problem, a quote from the admin Red.

***************************************************************************

"Yellow and black stripey ground texture means it's a "missing texture". As you said yourself a misplaced or removed file.

If the game cannot find the texture it's looking for, it will replace it with this yellow and black texture for whatever it's missing one for. You really should be careful and remember where you move things and not click around too much.

If you are unable to find where you moved these files to, or if they are in your recycle bin for you to restore the items removed, since you already know it's the ground texture, I'd suggest following:

Install another copy of feralheart on your desktop or in a custom path like C:\Backupferalheart\FeralHeart temporarily. Find your way into the game folder of the new backup feralheart you installed and go into media\terrains\textures until you see all the ground textures.

Once you're there copy ALL the content inside of the folder. Go back to your original FeralHeart game(most likely installed in C:\FeralHeart, go into it's media\terrains\textures and then PASTE the textures you got from the new game. It will put in any missing textures that way.

This way if you have any custom mods or textures anyplace else you don't need to redownload them in a new game, just fix your first issue, however if these instructions are too hard to follow.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just re-install your game, remove the game from C:\FeralHeart, then install a new game again.
"

I hope i served you useful, although the quote above is Redlinelies' ^^"
Have a good day ♥ ♥ ♥ !

EDIT:
I know your map texture isnt black and yellow, but it looks extremely different to your mask and looks like the usual error yellow & black texture, shown in here https://i.imgur.com/sQvcWE4.png
I hope i am not understanding the problem wrong though!

EDIT 2:
I found this thread, which seems to represent so-so your exact problem, it has no solution but i hope you can get some clues off the reply given on here. https://feral-heart.com/smf/index.php?topic=15109

I reinstalled my game twice, and only inserted my 2 files (Terrain mask and Terrain Heightmap) All my textures are fine apart from custom textures, thats the only problem.
Thanks so much for the long response on trying to fix my problem. :)

Have you tried perhaps using normal textures to see how it works? Also, do other map masks work fine if you load them? Also i noticed that the mask's name has an space, maybe it's that? If you wanted, you could try the same mask but changing the name or duplicating it and then calling the clone of the mask file something whitout spaces?

edit:
You're welcome :^)
