Yeah I don’t believe that they will. As much as people miss old maps, they honestly weren’t that good. They were way too big and with less objects (a bit empty).
Maybe they will re create more old maps and add new ones?
Recreation of the Ascension Island and Skys Rim would be incredible! We need a map with parkour! xD

I’m just so convinced that the update is coming very very soon! Probably this summer or maybe even earlier.
