FH will not connect to the front server.

Okay, I wanna thank you guys in advance bc I know you guys can get to the bottom of this.

I got a new Windows 10 laptop for Christmas and I downloaded Feral-Heart immediately. After logging in on the site, I tried logging in in-game - but to no avail, as it says "Failed to connect to front server." regardless of what I do.

Things I've tried:
- Power cycling my laptop.
- Power cycling my router.
- Using different browsers (Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer, and Mozilla Firefox to be specific)
- Turning off my firewalls.
- Using an old account in the hopes that maybe my usual one was bugged.
- Running as admin and in compatibility mode.

I can get to the Main Menu in-game, use stuff like the preset and map maker, but I can't for the life of me get the game to connect to the front server. I've restarted my laptop at least 8 times between yesternight and today, but it doesn't seem to affect anything.

Even more peculiarly, I can connect to and play other online video games just fine on multiple systems, so I don't know if the Wi-Fi is the issue itself.

Are you logging into the Play Game tab whilst trying to log in ingame?

Adding onto what FlyingGrass mentioned, try keeping the Play Game tab open for at least a minute and a half before entering the game and loading onto the Character Creation.

Doing it to fast will result in not connecting to the Front Server.

To Accailia: I have waited more than 5 minutes just to be safe before, and still no luck.

Hmm.

Try logging in through your phone. If not, is this a new account or is it older? I'm asking because there's a system where old accounts are recycled after a certain period of time.

It's a pretty old account, it was made in 2014 I think? This is just the first time I've needed to come to the FH forums.

It appears your ingame account is still activated and not wiped from the server.
It's a possibility that there is a browser proxy or something that is making your two different IP addresses (the one from your web browser and the ingame IP address) and not allowing the connection as these two must match.

A proxy or proxy server is basically another computer which serves as a hub through which internet requests are processed. By connecting through one of these servers, your computer sends your requests to the proxy server which then processes your request and returns what you were wanting. In this way it serves as an intermediary between your home machine and the rest of the computers on the internet. Proxies are used for a number of reasons such as to filter web content, to go around restrictions such as parental blocks, to screen downloads and uploads and to provide anonymity when surfing the internet. - WhatIsMyIP.com

Proxies will make it so the IP address of your browser (where you're connecting to the login tab page from) and the IP address that you're connecting to the game client with are different from one another, thus, causing connectivity issues. If you are unsure if you are running a proxy, try this:

- Go to https://feral-heart.com/myip/ and make note of what IP address is listed there in the upper left corner. Do not post that IP address here as that is for your eyes only.
- Then, download this http://www.feral-heart.com/myip.zip, run it, and see what IP address it gives you when it is complete.

If these two do not match then you are likely running a proxy in your browser.
