Is it safe or not?
« on: August 01, 2018, 03:17:48 pm »
Well, I know FH is not online right now since the whole server is down. But I wanted to check out this map when it gets back online~

Its called FeralCity, that map. I downloaded it a long long time ago and I still have the zip. I downloaded from a random mediafire link, not red's website. I am pretty sure its the correct one, its an application. Heres some photos:

So first this is the Application im clicking to download the map:

This is what happens when I double click on it:

Im still able to download it by ignoring the warning, but I dont want viruses and hackers getting on our expensive computer that my whole family uses. How can I install it without getting the warning and it doesnt give damage to the computer and hurt personal data?

Windows does that when the publisher of an .exe file is unknown. I would say it's safe but it's not really necessary. Idk why it's an .exe file ether when it's just maps.

Speaking from experience, it is a safe file, yes. ^^
And it was put in the form of an .exe to make the installation simple for those who might not know where to put the files. I personally prefer manual installation but it is convenient for some to have it installed with an .exe.
