Trying to load preset crashes my game.

I am not and overly new person to FH but haven't been active much either, now that I've got some free time to learn, I've taken interest in Preset making mainly cause I don't have the funds to get a specific character of mine in the game and because I'd like to learn how of course! ^^
I'm terribly new to it and when I try to load the skin in to see how it looks, My game crashes. It's not completely finished but I want to determine how it turned out before I continue and this the only thing holding me back currently.

Is it when you enter the preset maker? Or is it at startup?

If you use Paint, preset won't work. The best to use are GIMP or Photoshop c:

You should check the characteristics of the files, they must be.
-512x512
-Made in Gimp or Photoshop or any program that supports transparency
If all of this is correct then it must be something with your coding, check it carefully since something wrote incorrectly could be messing it such as a special code.

Reply to Kitter: It's when I click Preset 3, as that is the folder I've put my files in.
Reply to Dark_Heart: I used Ibis paint on my phone, I'm not good at mouse drawing and can't afford a drawing table either. It works like what's need and downloads files as .png and I just change them to .jpg later down the line.
Reply to QuietMacaroni: I use Ibis Paint and made sure every thing was 512 × 512, though I'm a little confused by the coding part, I have no idea what to do with that, but I haven't messed with it.

Using Ibis Paint isn't good idea. Maybe try take a photo of your preset or export image from Ibis Paint to Google Drive and then download it on your comp. Then try edit it in GIMP for scaling and adding alpha channel c:

Reply To Dark_Heart: I did all those steps except the rendering in GIMP, maybe that's it. Also, what's the alpha channel to be for? Apologizes if I'm asking too many questions.

Alpha channel is turning up transparency. You can do it in GIMP with right-clicking current layer and fiding "add alpha channel" button (or something like this). I think it could work c;

I appreciate all of your help, I've managed to get my preset to load in so I can preview it, but it looks like I'll have to do some redrawing before it's good to go. Thank you all again! ^^
