While most of you will read this topic and automatically wonder what in the world a MN government shutdown has to do with you, well, as many of you know, WolfQuest is created and maintained mostly by employees of the Minnesota Zoo, which is a state-run organization. If the Minnesota government is shut down due to budget conflicts, the Minnesota Zoo may also be shut down, and therefore all state employees will not be allowed to work.
Though it's a complicated situation, the gist of it is that if the state government is shut down on July 1st, WolfQuest (multiplayer games and the forum) will be as well. We will not know if we are shut down until as late as 10pm on June 30th, so I wanted to give you the heads up that if you come online on July 1st and the forums are shutdown, it is not a permanent shutdown, it has nothing to do with the release of 2.5 and should not delay it, and while it's a huge pain, it's nothing to worry about on your end.
If we are shut down, we have no idea as far as how long it will last... it could just be a couple days or as long as a few months.
If you have questions, please refer to this page
http://www.mnzoo.org/events/Shutdown.asp (which doesn't mention WolfQuest, but talks about the zoo in general), or you can try posting your questions on here- I'm just not positive I'll be able to answer them. I will not have access to my e-mail in the event of a shutdown, so please do not send me e-mails asking when the forums/games will be back up.
We're really sorry for the inconvenience, but it's totally out of our control, and we sincerely hope if the state does shut down, it will be for a very short time.
