Game Help / Terrain Mask Help

Heya guys!

I'm working on a map and I just got my Height map and Terrain mask finished, but I'm running into an odd issue.

My height map is loading just fine but when I go to apply my Terrain everything is black even when I change the textures to grass and whatnot. I am 100% sure the terrain mask is in the right folder, that I'm spelling it right, etc.

Anyone know what's up with that?

Heyoo! Redd here.
I recently made my first preset. I'm wanting more practice, so I'm taking requests for free presets! There are only five slots, first come first serve! Hurry before they're gone! To claim a slot simply comment that you want one. Be sure to include either a reference to the character you're wanting made or an in-depth written description. If you have an idea and want to give me artistic freedom, let me know!

I am so excited about this!

I did it! I really did it! I was always shy of making a preset because it looked so complex and time consuming. I finally sat down and did it after seeing all of the wonderful presets at the Christmas party. Chek it out and tell me what you floofs think! I worked real hard on it.

I'm about to dive into preset making. Gah, it seems complicated!

My character has a blind eye. So one eye is different from the other. How do I make this so in the preset? I'm taking BABY steps and starting with the eyes.

Secondly, does anyone have a REALLY SIMPLE easy to understand preset tutorial?

Here's the FH/TLK style I've been doing. Both of these are my character Ryu. I am working on a leopard in this style that will be done soon.


Did this for my husband. The red tiger/wolf/lion thing is Redd herself.


This was done a looong time ago. When Redd was still a regular ol lion.

Hey floofs! Redd here!

I've been active in-game for quite some time, but I've never really utilized the forum. I want to be more involved, so I'm going to change that and start interacting with you guys! *nuzzles everybody*

I run around in-game as a sandy-pelted lioness named Fraline, or on a male liger named Ryu. Ryu has many different pelt colors, as his fur changes when he moves to a different biome for a long period. It isn't a sudden change- it happens very gradually. I change his color in slight stages.
Perhaps you've seen me running about!

That aside, I want to get to know you guys!

I've got a few friends who I'd live to play FH with, but since registration is closed, that's a no go.

I think I broke FH. It was my first time exporting a map. And now when I open FH all I get is a grey screen then it stops working. NUUUUUU! Someone please help.

Game Help / REALLY big issue...Windows 8? (SOLVED! I KNOW HOW TO MAKE IT RUN!)

We recently got a new laptop. We're talking fancy brand new, out of the box. It is a lenovo, and has all of the same stuff as my desktop, it even has a better graphics card. BUT it has windows 8 on it. Is FH not compatable with windows 8 or something? I can download it just fine, but when I go to run the setup, and start installing, it tells me that there are problems with a file and it cant do it. Any help would be great. I'm thinking it might be windows 8, so if anyone has 8 and plays FH, TELL ME WHAT TO DO!
   
 EDIT Run the freaking setup program in windows XP S.P.3 compatability mode ALL TEH TIEM.
