Discussion Board / Re: Do You Speak Any Other Languages?
« on: January 18, 2015, 12:31:56 am »
1. Bulgarian - native language; fluently, of course.
I don't think there are many other bulgarian players here on FH.
Example:
He stared in her beautiful, deep and dark eyes. - ??? ?? ??????? ? ????????? ?, ??????? ? ????? ???.

2. English - Advanced to Master; like a second language.

And that's it, unfortunately. And I say unfortunately because I'm pretty interested in any language, I love learning new languages. I know a few things in Spanish from my travel to Spain, I'm interested in mastering Spanish, learning Swedish, French, German (I'll be studying German after some months), Russian and probably many other xD

I feel so small and immature. ;-;
Although age isn't really a factor of maturity xD

Game Discussion / Re: Most annoying things about groups
« on: January 17, 2015, 08:41:22 pm »
Oh, I've waited for this!
I also agree with most of the things everyone above me said.
I'll just explain myself now:

1. Literacy
Okay, so, you are a person with huge vocabulary. You know the anatomy of the creature you're playing, you know a lot of adjectives, you know how to describe to the slightest detail (by using 'You', I'm not referring to neither one of you; I'm simply explaining myself, so don't get me wrong). But why using them all the time? Some people don't know as much words as you, or don't know their meaning because their native language is not english (here I'm referring to the fellow floofs who, same as me, don't know english perfectly). And those 5-pharagraph-long posts just torture me, as well as those twisted words. I mean, why wolfspeak?! Can't you use normal language which is understandable by everyone? It doesn't make you look smarter. It is simply showing off, which is not smart at all.

I've noticed that, unfortunately to some people who agree with me, most groups now are the so-called 'strictly literate' and use wolfspeak all the time. Whenever I join a group of such (although I strive to avoid it), I'm just sitting away from the rest, reading without understanding most things, and patiently waiting to post, but rarely getting the chance to. Therefore, not having fun at all, which is the purpose of a group in Feral Heart. This limits the chances of me joining a group at all.

2. Inactivity
It's simple. People who join a group, saying they're going to be active, and then don't appear for days. That's why I always warn people who join my groups that they either come at least, let's say, four times a week, or I'm kicking them out. I rarely ever create groups, though.

I also really dislike when people don't have the patience to wait for new members, when the roleplay will begin. I mean, my group is brand new and you're the first person to join. You need to wait so I can gather new members and the group becomes big. They're all like, 'okay', and the next day I see they've left the group. How is my group going to work, if every first person who joins leaves only a day after (well, I guess there just have to be more than just one person to join at a time, but sometimes, we all know it is very hard)?

3. Too complex
Some groups in Feral Heart are way too complex, serious and detailed. I agree with maps, but some groups have more than just one, or the creatures have a specific territory which is strictly limited. I could stand that, too, but then there's literacy requirement (and mostly you need to be 'strictly literate', as stated above), as well as specific appearance of your character, too serious rules and everything becomes just a bit too much.

Seriously, I sometimes miss the times when everything was so simple, you create a wolf pack and accept everyone, have all types of literacies and actually DO have fun. I've stayed the longest in packs of such. Now most people are way too serious. Like, come on, this is a game, we're supposed to have fun with everyone and anywhere. This includes both roleplaying or just derping around.

I also dislike when whenever I join a group first, everyone is just chatting and 'having fun', as the leader said the group is roleplaying. I've waited, and waited, and waited so long, but everyone continues to chat and I don't see roleplay at all. And I've joined to roleplay, after all. Yes, making friends and everything, I agree, but I dislike when some groups do this all the time.

----------------------------------------------------------

Summing up, I think having a too complex group, where everything is strictly determined, can be pretty hard. I think only very responsible, kind, considerate and active people can lead a nice group of such and make it successful.
I know my qualities and I don't think I'm responsible, not at all, so I don't ever create groups. If I happen do so, it is going to be a simple wolf pack. I've tried making a major and a bit complex roleplay, but I failed due to my irresponsibility.
Now I avoid joining groups and prefer to roleplay with one person. If I join a group, I want it to be nice, simple, I don't mind a map or a site, it's actually a bonus. I just don't want the leader to expect from me to stay all-day long online, or roleplay however they want me to.

P.S. Excuse me for my poor english and possible grammar mistakes!

Game Discussion / How do you 'balance'?
« on: January 15, 2015, 08:42:37 pm »
Hello there!
Before I explain the idea in my head, I should apologise if there's already a topic like this or if it doesn't belong to the right place, although I'm pretty sure it does.
This discussion topic came to my mind out of the blue.

How do you guys 'balance' your characters? By that, I mean what do you do to develop and progress with all of them equally? Or maybe you don't? Maybe you stick just to one or two main characters? Share!

I personally tend to often change my roleplay character. I strive to evolve all of them so they are on the same level of development. I want all of my characters to be well-detailed, with a good past and etc.
What about you?

P.S. My sincere apologies for the blunt explanation and poor english, I'm kind of new into this but I thought maybe this could turn out an interesting topic to discuss. :)

Game Discussion / Re: what kind of roleplays do you like?
« on: January 14, 2015, 10:32:29 pm »
I sometimes prefer to RP with one person, or with two or three people. Everything's going nice and fast, while in some wolf packs, especially if they're big and many members are active, RP-ing might become a mess of words if people don't pay attention to the order of the posts. Also, there may occur many types of roleplaying and literacies in a big group and not everyone is satisfied with that. Some people type abnormally large posts, long more than two pharagraphs, which personally to me is a bit annoying (I'm not trying to offend someone, I'm just stating my own opinion and you don't have to agree with it) because the player can describe just one action at a time so the roleplay goes faster. I would accept two-or-more-pharagraph-long posts only when I'm roleplaying with a single person.
I, as a foreign player (not english), also don't really approve wolfspeak. Those twisted words and really long sentences often confuse me or make me give up roleplaying. I prefer clear, understandable english so
everyone could understand. I also don't really like groups that are too literate, 'strictly literate', I feel like I just HAVE TO use more uncommon, creative words, which might be a bit hard for a person whose native language is not english, like myself. Of course, this is only my own opinion and I'm not saying people shouldn't RP like that. Everyone is supposed to RP however they want and I'm just stating my opinion.
I usually struggle finding a person to RP with, because most players are looking for groups with maps, plots, rules, websites and etc. These groups to me are a bit too obliging. Yes, I would join a group like that if I have a character that is meant to be in a group, but what if I have a loner character and still want to develop them after all? I want to develop my loner characters quickly, so I tend to look for RP buddies when I feel like RP-ing.
So, summing up, I prefer roleplaying with a single person than joining a group, because the RP goes faster and is not as obliging as a group RP, although it depends and if the group is really good and tempting I'm joining without hesitation. I prefer the group I'm joining to be rather small and simple (although I might sometimes feel like joining an extra-realistic group which is very detailed in everything). I strive to avoid wolfspeakers and want to roleplay with people who use understandable english.

Game Discussion / Re: Have you ever been stalked by someone in-game?
« on: January 05, 2015, 06:38:34 pm »
When I first joined the game, there were some people stalking me every now and then. Mostly because I created all of my characters beautiful and attractive and the other noobies wanted me for a mate. xD
But no, not a real stalking. At least not one that I remember.
I, on the other hand, can call myself a stalker. I pretty often sit and F3 the people around (well, okay, who doesn't it). I've followed people for a long time, yes. Once I clicked on a player so that starry thing could appear and I stalked them all the way, I eventually wanted to role-play with them, but then something happened and I gave up.
