Game Suggestions & Ideas / Feral City
« on: August 07, 2013, 01:10:08 pm »
Got an idea, mi friends. A suggestion for future updates whether they'll be next week or next year. How about, making Red's wonderfully made maps, Feral City and FH cinema, maps that are included in the game instead of being an add-on? Given the amount of people that use these maps and the events that are held in them, I thought it would be a good idea. Especially for users who are somewhat new and might get confused about downloading custom maps. Of course, Red will probably have to give his permission for the maps to be used.
What do you lot think?

Discussion Board / Where in the World? - Survey
« on: August 02, 2013, 11:47:44 am »
Good afternoon/evening/morning my fellow FeralHearters. :)
I have decided to conduct a survey of where abouts on planet Earth FeralHeart users live. Why? I'm hoping I can use this information to create a sort of guide to help people with the constantly recurring issue of time zones and how confusing the damned things are. I noticed the problem recently with Tigg holding the movie nights, and a lot of people posting on the thread asking what time it will be for them. Of course, I'll probably only get results from users who look at the forum as well as just being in the game, but it'll do. :)

As well as voting, I'd ask you to do one more thing for me. Post a reply to elaborate on your answer. For example, if you voted Europe, you'd write a reply saying which area of Europe or which country, however you feel most comfortable. Of course this is optional and you don't have to if you don't want, but it will be helpful to me.

Thanks for your cooperation ;) :P

Leaving / Likely inactivity and a warning!
« on: July 31, 2013, 01:21:09 pm »
Now...my poor little laptop seems to have contracted some sort of virus. And I don't know when I'm going to get the poor thing fixed so I may be inactive in-game for some time. But I'll still be able to visit the forums every now and then on my phone or on the main house computer.
A little warning to others in the UK as this virus seems more predominant here, if something comes up on your screen about your computer being locked and the metropolitan police and illegal activity, DON'T PANIC! Don't ring your bestfriend and say "Omg I'm gonna get arrested!" like I did. Because you aren't. It's a scam. I'd recommend getting your computer to someone who can fix it, like I'm trying to do.

See you later...don't know when though xD

Game Discussion / Doctor Flob Rants: A Change of Humour
« on: July 23, 2013, 08:59:38 am »
"YO MOMMA'S SO FAT SHE FARTS DUST!"
"YO MOMMA'S SO UGLY THEY HAD TO TIE MEAT AROUND HER NECK SO THE FAMILY DOG WOULD PLAY WITH HER!"
"YO MOMMA'S SO STUPID THAT WHEN THEY SAID IT WAS CHILLY OUTSIDE SHE WENT TO GET A BOWL!"

This, is the worst sort of humour ever! I'm sorry but I have to say it! It irritates me so much that my blood pressure rises which puts me at greater risk of heart attacks. See, you people who tell these jokes are going to end up killing me one of these days!
Now, I'm not sure where this type of humour came from originally and if anyone wants to enlighten me on that detail, please do. What annoys me about it, is that it is used in excess. People seem to go on for hours throwing these maternal insults, or 'yo momma' jokes at each other, and after about five or tens minutes, one gets sick of seeing joke after joke being belched into the chat box in capital letters. Come on, guys, can't you think of some other jokes to tell? Perhaps one of your own or something used less often?
Yes, I know, not everyone has the same sense of humour, and some people find these jokes funny. Even I find some of the particularly creative and unique ones funny every now and then. But there is a limit, and a line between being funny and being downright rude. It's when people cross that line that these 'jokes' are really bad; people feel offended. "Perhaps it's because they can't take a joke, or they're in a bad mood, or they're overly sensitive." Perhaps...but have you considered that some people will be very sensitive to maternal insults because some poor sods (bless their little souls) don't have a mother due to whatever reason that may be? No...well, keep that in mind the next time someone "flips out" at a 'yo momma' joke.
Another thing -  why is it always the mother that's being insulted and never the father? I've never really understood that...

Okay, rant appointment over. Bye bye :) :P

Discussion Board / Heatwave!
« on: July 21, 2013, 02:39:29 pm »
So typically British of me to start complaining about the weather xD But it's a big deal with us!

Anyway, so here on the European side of the Atlantic, we've having a bit of a heatwave. Actually "a bit" isn't the right pharse for it. One hell of a massive heatwave! In Scotland near Glasgow, it was about 28 degrees a couple of weeks ago! Even Turkey wasn't as warm as that in June. Utter madness. I don't like it. >_>
Right, so what's the summer weather like where you are and how do you cope with extreme heat? Any recommendations of how to keep cool?
Let's here 'em.  :D

Game Discussion / Does size matter?
« on: May 03, 2013, 07:59:07 pm »
From tiny kittens, to gigantic dragons, people make a wide range of characters of varying sizes. But does someone's size have an impact of first impressions? Here's a scenario for you:

You are caught doing something that someone else doesn't like. They are a very a small puppy. They walk up to you and politely asks you to stop what you are doing. What is your initial reaction?

And here is a similar scenario with a small difference:

Again, you're doing something someone doesn't like. This time, a huge winged canine lands next to you and asks you to stop. What is your initial reaction this time?

Answer these honestly please. As a former psychology student, I understand that people can and will answer questions such as these dishonestly, responding to what we call 'demand characteristics', but now's not the time for a psychology lesson....XD

Leaving / Something amazing happened!
« on: April 25, 2013, 04:54:58 pm »
To my friends and RP buddies,

As of Monday, the 29th April, I will be starting a 6 week work experience placement at a shop in town. So that means, I will be much less active than I usually am for that period of time (because before I had nothing better to do xD). But, I'll still be around in the evenings, and I have Wednesdays and Sundays off. Lol, fun times stacking shelves... I might get a job after it too if they like me enough ;).

Anyway, yes, that's the news. Just thought I'd let you know so you don't think I've died or something like that xD

Game Suggestions & Ideas / Group Member Dots
« on: April 20, 2013, 11:15:16 pm »
This will be short and sweet...kinda like me xD (...*cough*)

You know those little dots that show up on the height map in the corner of your screen when you have a friend online? Wouldn't it be a nice idea if we could also see our group members as dots on the mini-map too? Obviously these dots would be a different colour as the friend dots.
And I think it would make it easier to find our group members, especially for the lazy peeps that don't want to open the group tab, click on a group member's name and click 'Find'. So much effort...xD It is when you're trying to multi-task several things at once.
I don't think it should be too much of a chore to add the feature, should it be chosen.

So...thoughts, my fellow floofs?
