Mountain Wolf Pack

( Don't worry, Lightning will never die ^^ )

All of the sudden Lightning comes jumping out of the water gasping for air. His fur was soaked, the rain poured down. Water streamed down from his black/grey fur. The male shook his pelt, he limped to Shadow grabbing her neck. He pulled her out of the water quickly. "S-Shadow?!?!" Lightning said panicked. He plopped down next to her limp body, licking her wounds. Blood trickled down the sand and pebbles. When the blood touched the sand, all it did was clump up and roll into the water. After the wolf finished licking Shadows wounds he lickled her cheek. "Please don't leave me yet Shadow." he said pleadingly. "I love you more then anything in the world!" he began to sniffle as tears rolled down his cheek. Lightning set his head down on her neck, nudging his nose into her warm fur. The sky turned to an unforgiving afternoon. Lightning striked across the sky, thunder crackled. "I really do love you Shadow." Lightning whispered, closing his eyes. His ears flattened against his fur, he was scared about Shadow being badly injured.

As the rain fell a light glowed on the two wolves faint at first but stedilly grew brighter and the rain falling on the two started to glow aswell and even sparkle a bit and as it landed on Shadows dead body the wounds on her neck and paw started to close up and once they finished healing the light vanished allmost as qwick as it came and the rain went back to normale, And after what seemed like eterninty Shadow gasped her eyes flinging open and she raised her head and staired into Lightnings eyes her own starting to tear up-"Lighning you saved my life" Shadow barked befor thrusting her head into her mates chest fur and licking his hurt ankle making it heal the moment her toung touched it.

The wolves glowed, Lightning opened his eyes as the glowing disapeared. "Shadow?!?!" Lightning gasped, surprised. "Y-Your back!" Lightning wrapped his head over the she-wolfs neck as she nudged into his chest. Lightning licked her ears, his ankle healed as she licked it. "In so happy your back! I don't know what I would do without you Shadow!" the male was so surprised. He was so happy he didn't know how to express it. Lightnings tail wagged 100 mph. The lightning crackled as the thunder roared. But the noises were blocked out by Lightnings ears, the only thing he could think of and listen to was Shadow. The rain soaked there fur, but they didn't care.

Shadow let out small high pitched yips of pure happyness as tears streamed down her face and the rain soked into there fur-"I will never leave you Lightning I will allways be by your side.........no matter what happens" Shadow whispered happily licking her mates chest fur repeatedly.

Akeila looked down at the couple; she had failed to help.  She had let go, and no because of her the she-wolf was injured.  Walking away, her tail drooped.  Remembering Ginger and her duty; she raced into the trees--following their scent.

Ginger looked back over her shoulder sencing Akeila. She let out a loud bark. The storms roared, "Come on Akelia! We have to hurry up!" she howled. The wind blew and Ginger almost fell down. Her fur was soaked, her tail straitened because of her stress. The she-wolf felt so misserble but she couldn't let Dawn down.

Lightning smiled, licking Shadow's ears "And I will never leave you, I will always be by your side." he said happily. The male began to lick Shadow's cheeks, wiping away the tears. Lightning let his mate lick him as much as she wanted to.

Dawn paces inside the den worrying that the three she sent out could get stuck out there

Night nods yes and walks towards the den. He lets out a howl to let Dawn  and May know that he is okay. May hears Nights howl and howls back running out of the den with the rain coming down hard.

Dawn tackles her sister and drags her back inside "idiot! you will end up dead out there if you try running in the rain!"  she growls at her

Akeila hurried to catch up with Ginger, racing through the trees; she soon meet up with her. "Sorry; I heard a howl for help."
