Hanso blushed and he looked down, nervous about what she would say.

Riahn felt bad about what he said to his daughter. ~I don't think she wants me to be there right now, she's got Jade.~ he thought.

Auri snarled in confusion, "Let's get out of here." she growled she turned around when she heard another wolf snarl at them, she spun around and bit his muzzle "Shut up." she snarled. Her hackles raised again as she trudged away, ignoring their questions, the blood of the wolf in her mouth, she spat it out and went back to her pack. Her father was there waiting for her, she ran up to him "Hey dad!" she licked him under his chin, a respective gesture. "Hello Auri, how are you?" she sniffed her muzzle "Blood? Whose blood?" Raku and Apache came up "Just some wolf, nothing to hard." they laughed. Auri's father nodded before returning to the alpha's den "Goodnight daughter." Auri flicked her tail "Goodnight." She went to her den and plopped down, Raku and Apache guarded at the entrance. She sighed before closing her eyes and falling asleep, questions ran through her dreams, Who are they? How do they know my name?

Jade finally reached to Misha, "Misha why are you sad?" she asked with a whine.

Misha almost cried, and answered when they reached to the den, so no one can hear. "Okay so daddy ask me what should rank I should be..and I told I dont like those ranks, and he said That sounds like you dont want to be part of pack" she explained.

Jade nod in understatement, and answered, "Uh huh, well when you're one you'll changed your mind" she laughed, and licked her daughter cheek.

Riahn looked at Auri and turned away. "She doesn't know who we are." he sighed and went over to Hanso, smiling. "Would you like to go on a patrol with me? I must speak to you."

Hanso nodded, nervous what he was going to talk to him about. "Okay sir." He padded with his king around the territory. "What is it, your majesty?"

The king looked at him and he chuckled. "You know Caladon's sort of getting old. No offense to the captain, anyway, you're too trustful and everyone depends on you. Would you accept the honor of being captain?"

Hanso's eyes widened, he got out of his shock and nodded. "Yes sir. Is Caladon retired?"

Riahn nodded. "Yes, he is, we talked about it earlier. Oh yeah, I know you like Zuri. Don't be afraid, I know she loves you."

Hanso blushed and he growled. "I don't know what you're talking about!"

Riahn looked him in the eye. "Don't laugh, if you do, it means you're lying."

Hanso kept staring at him but after a while he laughed. "Okay! I admit it, I love that leopard!"

Jade came out the den with Misha.

Misha smiled at her mum, "Mummy can we play wrestling?" she smiled

Jade smiled a bit and nod.

Caladon lay dead in the middle of the clearing, he died of old age and his spirit was taken to the heavens. Riahn came back and howled in grief. "Caladon!" The king nuzzled him, his eyes welling up with tears. He pressed his nose into his fur. "You served us well, may you rest in peace.... why so soon?" he murmured sadly.

Hanso nuzzled his king's shoulder. "it's okay, but you must appoint a new captain."

The king nodded and howled to the pride. "Come together for a pride meeting, everyone!"

Misha heard the howl, "Aww"

Jade ears went down, "I know sweetie, anyway go home, ill be back" she said, and went to the meeting.

Misha obey her mother, and home.

Riahn bowed his head. "Caladon has died of old age and my choice for the new captain will be revealed... the new captain will be Hanso."

Hanso smiled proudly and he went up to his king. "it is my honor to serve you all every day of my life and I will defend you with my life." the cougar purred.

Caladon nodded proudly at Hanso and he walked away into the forest, his starry fur glittering into the night.

Jade finally reached to her mate, "You howled?" she said.

Misha was inside the den, bored, so she made a hole in the den.

Riahn looked at his mate. "Caladon has died and Hanso's the new captain."
