Abyss closed her eyes to think.
Suddenly, she could remember the last few days of the last of the pack members. Her minds eye created a play right before her eyes as she opened them. She could picture them all conversing about what to do in a voiceless fashion.
"What are you going to do now?" she could hear in the back of her mind. She saw the enormous, scarred figure of Comanche in the water beside her reflection. His missing left eye made him look more like a pirate than anything. "We've followed you this far, and we'll follow you out."
He wasn't there, really, but he seemed real enough. "We do what Alpha said. This disease is coming from the north, meaning we head south until we hit ice." Another familiar voice said as the form of her only friend that was a fae appeared slowly. "Elder Valora always said that the ice would freeze the bacteria that created this disease.
"Alpha and Valora are dead..." the voice of Alpha's son, Alvah, could now be heard as his solid white coat shone brightly in the pale moonlight. "If we keep going this way, the disease will pick us off, one by one..."
"We keep heading south..." Abyss said, finally speaking out of her thoughts.
