     She bowed a thank you to Aluxia and left to try and talk to Slay, while Nik began his conversation with Aluxia.
     "I'll protect them too!" Klein said, picking up a stick and holding it like a sword. "Mom told me that when I grow up, I'll be a big animal." he was happy that he would get some play mates soon.

     Abyss walked up beside Slay, gazing in the water as well. She was quiet, already to listen. Her darkened reflection seemed to blend in with the sky, only leaving her yellow eyes. "Alpha?" she said quietly, not expecting an answer.

Slayter raised his brow and cracked his eyes open. "What is it, Aby?" He asked.

     "I know what your reason for this is..." she said quietly. "You don't think the pups will survive in this disease..." she turned her gaze at his reflction, almost jealous of how his coat stood out so beautifully against the night sky. She blinked and glanced up at the moon.

Slayter shook his head. "It's not just that." He said and lifted himself to sit up. "It's a lot of stress no matter what the circumstances, and I'm not sure I ever wanted pups." He said as he looked over to her. "But I can't change what's happened." He said as he turned his eyes to stare at the horizon. "It means things are gonna have to change." He continued to ramnle. After a while, he shook his head and smiled. "What about you? Does Nik strike your fancy?" He smiled.

     "I've never even thought about it." She blinked. "I mean... I come from a pack where everyone was equal; I never really had the chance to favor someone over anyone else." She sighed lightly. "I know, it doesn't concern me, and you probably think that I don't know what I'm talking about... But, we'll get through this as a pack should. If pups come along the way, I say more the marrier... Numbers, wits, and skills make up a vast pack."

Slayter stood up and shook his head. "There is no equality. No wolves are equal." He smiled and stretched out. "I think it's time to go back." he nodded and turned to start back towards the cave slowly. "Numbers. More mouths to feed. To accommodate with space and energy. It doesn't matter. She may not even be pregnant." He said and shook his head.

"Yes, very big, even bigger than your mother."  Nik said with a smile.  He was just about to leave when he spotted Abyss and Slay making their way back to the cave.  He sighed deeply, worried about the outcome of this.  He stepped back inside and sat beside Marv.   Marv was sitting on the same end as Aluixa but not beside her.

Slayter raised a brow as his ears swiveled to the sounds of Nik's sigh. He quickly jumped down the hill and skid to a stop beside the wolf. He was a little on edge. "What's that mean?" he asked, his eyes almost angry.

"You know what it means.  I know your troubled by this news and I am worried about the outcome.  Remember I was abandoned by my father and I don't want to see it replayed."  He said.

Slayter scoffed and shook his head. "You honestly think I would do that? Abandon them? Aluxia? You guys?" He asked, cocking his head to the side and taking a step forward. "You honestly think that's who I am? That I could live with myself if I even thought about that?"
