Flak shook his head, motioning a 'no.' "Nope. Not long at all." He replied with a subtle chuckle, glancing over at Teegan who had made her way to rest near a dumpster. He decided to at last force himself to sit down. Wincing in pain, he let out a quiet growl as he lowered himself slowly to his haunches, glancing at his side to be sure the herbs hadn't come off. "How about you?" Flak started, lowering his eyebrows, trying to ignore the nagging pain in his chest and sides. "You always been alone? I mean- since the war and everything."
The mix breed puppy eyed the human food curiously, bending down to take in some more whiffs of it. "Hmm. It smells alright." Gavroche muttered aloud, giving the slice a brisk lick. He jerked his head back in surprise at the stringy cheese that had seemed to slide off the pizza and onto his tongue, wrinkling his nose. "Hehe, this is weird." He giggled, licking the pizza some more. By the time he had realized Dusty had instructed him not to eat much of the pizza, half of the slice was already bitten off and in his mouth, his cheeks full of the cheesy human food. "Oh-" his words were muffled by the large amount of food that was stuffed in his small mouth. "Oops-" Gavroche forced a large swallow and glanced down at the slice, all remaining now being the stale crust. "Hehe... they can have the rest..." He giggled awkwardly, slowly sliding the crust towards Dusty. His floppy ears flicked forward as the male finally made a comment of some sort of his hunting. The pup hopped up enthusiastically, his tail wagging rapidly, making his hind end wiggle with it. "Yeah! One time, I found a rabbit! 'An I caught it, but then one of those, bloody mutant things came 'an I had ta leave it. Then another time I stole a bird from one of them mutants." Gav laughed a bit at the memory. "Oh! And another time, I caught a snake. Didn't taste very good, though." He paused momentarily to take a breath from his rapid fire sentences. "Oh yeah! 'An one time I caught my own bird! I usually just stick to gettin' the rats, though. There's so many of 'em." He finally stopped talking and stood there with a stupid grin on his face, smiling up at Dusty.
