Dusty let out a sigh of relief as he plopped down beside Micah. "Oh, the stars. I thought I was about to loose you forever." He murmured, glancing shyly at the fae. When Micah told him about her injured paw, he bent down and sniffed it. Seeing some specks of blood still on it, he gently cleaned it off and sat up, glancing in Micah's eye. "Well, Risto can take care of that, or somebody who knows how to treat wounds." He said, announcing the obvious. Narrowing his eyes, Dusty turned and peeked back at the area where the rest of the group were. They seemed alright--Teegan was with Flak; Jip, Gavroche, Cara, and the wolf seemed to be arguing, but fine; Xizon - insert where Xizon is right now -. He frowned. Turning back to the fae, he titled his head to one side. "Have you seen Vicci or Risto? The two felines seemed not to have showed up during the battle. The last time I saw them was when they disappeared into the trees." Dusty murmured, rising to his paws. He was about to get Micah back to the rest of the group, but he decided to take one thing at a time with her.
Risto glared at the other feline, hissing when a mutant snapped its jaws at her. "Sure, we can attack and get terminated by these mutants." He muttered, lashing his tail. "I hope you realize that there are five mutants here, and two of us." Maybe it's best if we herd them towards the shore. Risto nearly said the sentence out loud, but he clamped his jaws shut, not wanting to let Vicci think he was a coward and all. Shrugging, he let out a huff. "Well, curse these mutants!" He exclaimed, frustration taking over his patience. Just as his tail lashed again, it was caught off when sharp teeth clamped shut around it.
Hissing, Risto whipped around, raking his claws in the ugly face of the mutant, satisfaction flickering through him as the beast let out a bellowing howl, before it scrambled back into its position. Before it retreated, Risto had to yank his poor little tail out of the mutant's mouth, and he winched as the fur ripped. Shaking his tail, he returned to Vicci's side, glaring at the mutants. "Just saying, but I think it's best if we stay here in the middle, instead of taking one mutant by ourselves. That way, we can protect each other...something like that." The tom suggested. Ugh. Curse me for coming into this stupid forest filled with who knows what. I should have stayed behind with the others. Risto thought, irritated, as his injured tail twitched from one side to the other.
