I prefer Ethiopian wolves, they need more help then most canines and I think they might even be the most endangered out of all the wolves.

Ethiopian wolves are technically not a subspecies of wolf. Recent DNA tests have shown that they are actually their own separate species of canine, kind of like how raccoon dogs and maned wolves are their own separate species of canine. All the same, they are beautiful animals and definitely need more support.

My personal favorite wolf breed/subspecies is the Indian wolf (the kinds of wolves who raised Mowgli in Kipling's The Jungle Book.)

I love how expressive their faces are, and their huge ears are so cute! And the funny part is that you look at this skinny, adorable little mutt of a wolf, and you would have no idea that these little guys are notorious for eating human children.

These people you call "wolf-a-boos" really aren't THAT much of a threat. So, they love wolves. I'm absolutely positive a good number of them go on to learn much about wolves. Anyways, love fuels knowledge, doesn't it? Surely it must, I know, you know, we all know. Maybe these same people go on to do what you do, and themselves grow to became your level, maybe even higher than your level. Who knows. Rest assure, they will mature and new "wolf-a-boos" will take on their place and so forth. Then there will be people like you who can guide them and help em' out with their expanding knowledge on wolves. I respect your passion Blue, though I do not agree with owning undomesticated animals that ought to be raised with their own kind. They have strong instincts still. I have to admit though if it wasn't for our out-standing animal lovers we wouldn't have our cuddly pets of today. In the end, I'll go my way and you'll go yours. I know you love and respect these animals, that's all I care about.

@TheCuteMonster True, there has been many attacks on owners by their so called "domesticated", yet wild, animal. Really though all animals should be considered unpredictable, anyways that's how I see things. Yes, that means humans too. It's different for animals that have actually become dependent on us. Domesticated dogs, cats, hamsters, etc. They can't really survive by them-selves, though cats are really dependent, hmm. You know I always thing of circuses when these topics come up, everyone loves watching their show animals. May it be tigers, lions, or elephants. These animals suffer but we enjoy it? Anyways... Fennec foxes, exotic pets! I really do adore them but weasels/ferrets/minks are more of my thing. I even adore geese.  Hey, have you seen the domesticated Russian foxes? They actually carry some of the similar behaviors of dog. Panting, waging their tail, and what not. These look to be near fully domesticated, amazing isn't it. You've got to admit though the conditions for domesticating animals are horrible. Sorry for getting off topic a bit. (More lovely related animals, Bat-Eared Foxes and African Wild Dogs, I use to be obsessed with these when I was just about as high as a dining chair)

I've always thought the wolfaboos could be the people that grow up and work for wolf charities and reintroduce wolves into the wild in areas they are struggling.

When I was young I was adamant I was going to work for some nature program and help save british wild life, and now I do nothing like that. Had I been as passionate as they are I could be cuddling badger cubs right now.

I always thought Ethiopian wolves looked more like the maned wolf which is also in a league of it's own lol, still, they beat timbers in terms of cuteness.

Them big ears and slender faces with the long legs <3

Don't get me wrong, wolves are awesome, however I will never consider myself a wolfaboo. It's not just wolves that people want as a pet. Other animals such as Tigers, Lions, even large snakes. I would never want to have a wild animal as a pet. As much as I love them, it's not good for you or the animal.

Speaking of this talk of wolfaboos, there have been times where people in this community have accused me of being a "foxtard" someone who is crazy about foxes and loves only foxes. Let me make it clear that it's NOT true! Sure, I love foxes and I like to roleplay as foxes, but I not crazy about them. I don't think they are the best animal in the world. There really is no such thing as a "best" animal in the world. I like other animals besides foxes; such as cats, small dogs, various species of birds, mice, hamsters, rabbits, bobcats, and much much more. Also, I don't get upset when people hunt foxes (as long as it's done legally). Hunting foxes is a common sport, so it doesn't really bother me. Not only that, I would never own a fox as a pet. As much as I love foxes, I could never own one since they have so many special needs. The only thing I can do is appreciate them and admire them in their natural habitat.

So that's all I have to say for now.

They are actually taming silver foxes as a project in Siberia. There is now a domestic breed of fox known as the Siberian fox, which are pretty much dogs that are cute like foxes. Want a fox but don't because of needs? Get a Siberian fox. Pretty much just like a dog. I'll link ya to the video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EoB0pdhxfZs ~Vio

Wolf dog hybrids can be dangerous, too. Just because they were bred with domestic dog in them doesn't make them completely harmless. They still have their wild, primative instincts in them. Take a look at this video for example...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ij09gDOx8ck

And that's why I just stick to having domesticated animals as pets. A cat and a dog suit me just fine. :3

THIS TV SHOW. Well... Yeah that too. Like this = http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bVgfCs08x2s Yeah yeah I know its not 'wolf' but it gives out facts and proves WILD ANIMAL HYBRIDS are NOT GOOD PETS!

They care about wolves and keeping what happened in the 20th Century (Read 'Never Cry Wolf', Great Book)
From happening again

Its when they drag politics into it that peeves me, like saying this person is a heartless maniac because they don't support them yata yata yata

Thankfully, I almost never see this because I don't normally go to SP.
