Exodus flicked his ears forward at the sudden warming sensation in his numb leg. Glancing down, he realized the ice was beginning to melt and drop away, rendering his leg barely moveable now. "Ha!" He snapped his attention back to the sorceress mockingly, only to notice she was already brewing her next attack. Before he knew it or had much time for gloating, she had hurled the three shadows at him. He hadn't seen the ice blade yet, his view of it blocked by the shadow. Narrowing his eyes, he remembered what she had said and turned so that his stomach was facing the three, in a rearing stance. Pumping his wings again, he created a hard wind force that spiraled back at the shadows. By turning his body like that, it disaligned the shadows' targets. However, distracted by fending off the clouds, it wasn't until he felt a piercing sting in the base of his left wing when he realized the presence of the ice blade. It had wedged itself deep into the muscle at the base of his wing, and around the wound, the ice crystals began to crawl across its feathers. Immediately, the wing went stiff, making him unable to use it. His right wing still flapping hard, he tilted in the air, bad wing dragging him down. Struggling to keep himself upward, he was losing height fast without his wing. Still pumping the right one hard, it wasn't enough to keep him in the air, and the pegasus dove the rest of the luckily short distance to the ground. Crashing into the grass shoulder-first, he tumbled a bit before his momentum ceased. With a groan of pain, he slowly got to his feet, shaking his mane. His wing now lay frozen at his side.
