Marris slid out of the water, onto the beach. His fiery eyes gleamed even more in broad daylight, that it was hard to look him in the eye. He sighed, moving the sand between his fingers. Suddenly, he heated the sand, turning it into glass. He quickly worked it, sifting out the bad particles. The melted glass became clearer as he sifted it. Then Mar began making a shape: a streamlined body, handlike paws, and a dog head and neck-- a telekhine. He let the glass cool in his hands, then put it on the beach. Marris then began loping as fast as he could up the beach. Before he could return to his watery volcano, he needed a few specific potions. He ended up in a gloomy forest, his eyes one of the only lights, besides the small gleam from above.
