Drooping his head, he padded slowly through the alley ways and back into the empty streets, dragging his paws. Suddenly, there was an ear-splitting explosion in the building just behind him. The force of the explosion sent the Cattle Dog flying forward with a yelp of pained surprise, tumbling over himself once he landed on the concrete nearby. The hair at the tip of his tail was singed from the close range bomb that detonated. He had no time to even think about his burns before the sharp crackling of gunshots nearby echoed through the street. With a whining snarl, he dashed out of the open street and into an alley, running as fast as his legs would carry him away from the seemingly active battle zone. Those humans must be trying to get rid of the Walkers in there. He concluded, his mind trying to comprehend the sudden show of force on the single building. Finally, he reached the city outskirts, where he skidded to a swift stop and spun around to see the one building burning and living humans screaming, as well as the mixed in sounds of shrieking Walkers that were burning inside of the quarantine building. Clenching his eyes shut, he glanced at his tail. Every hair on the tip of it were completely burned off, leaving a patch of exposed, charred skin. Wincing, he sat down, curling back to lick his wound.
Denarii let out a snarl of surprise as the explosion followed by sounds of war suddenly flooded the street. Whipping around, she dashed frantically after Rogue. "Alpha, what's happening?!" She shouted over the pattering of gunshots and wailing walkers.
