Acorpeth

The water lapped at the bank, neatly wetting Acorpeth's paws as he remained still, resting on his haunches as he gazed at the other side. He was lost in thought and had not noticed the hunter approach him, crouching beside him. Kodlak's abrupt voice startled him, stumbling a bit as he scrambled onto his paws. "Oh, um, y-yes." Acorpeth stammered at Kodlak's question as an awkward dip of his head followed. "Is it close by?" he inquired, deciding to forget his klutziness.

Shem

Shooting a glance over his shoulder at the Alpha, Shem nodded his head quietly in response to the signal of attack. Snapping his attention forward, he took a couple strides forward before breaking into a sprint towards the bucks' backside. The buck reared and quickly began to make a run for it once noticing the wolf, but by then, he was already at its flanks. With a smirk, Shem snapped his jaws at the deer's thin legs to frighten it. Extending his strides to keep up with the sprinting buck, the brute quit his mind games on the creature and instead went for the physical approach. With a quick leap, he sprang up onto the deer's hindquarters, sinking his teeth into its muscular flesh to keep hold and weigh it down to allow the others in the hunting party to catch up and get it off its feet.

Japthen

The Hudson Bay wolf fixed her eyes on Shem, watching as she was careful not to disturb his hunting. When the buck reared and prepared itself to flee, Shem had already snapped at its flanks, before throwing himself onto the hindquarters of the prey. Sprinting after the two, Japthen pressed forward, thankful that Shem had dragged the buck down to a slow run, and she could easily catch up with it. Clamping her jaws around the deer's flank, she pressed down hard, feeling a trickle of blood enter her jaws. Deciding to allow the Alpha to make the kill, Japthen clung on, glancing at Shem for a moment, before focusing back on the buck.

Acorpeth

Acorpeth remained silent, not bothering to utter a word as he mostly listened. Meanwhile, he zoned out for a while, staring at the leaves as he trotted along. Suddenly, Kodlak muttered something, before darting off, heading after the deer. Shaking his head out of his thoughts, Acorpeth sprinted after the hunter, his tongue lolling out of the side of his mouth as he pursed it, lagging behind a little. At the sight of the large prey, Acorpeth let out a snarl, determined to bring it down with Kodlak. Besides, he did want to impress the hunter. When he was close enough, he snapped his jaws at the hindquarters of the deer in attempt to slow it down, but it pulled ahead slightly, making him stumble a little. Catching his balance, he quickly rushed after the two, a little embarrassed by his act. When he approached the hindquarters, he quickly launched himself at it, clutching fur of the deer as he hauled himself onto it, not bothering about his claws as they pierced the skin of the deer.
