Hierarchy
''A system in which members of an organization or society are ranked according to relative status or authority.''
Every clan has a hierarchy; including this one. Even though this huge clan is divided into smaller families and groups; we all have a position and appliance, so therefore we loyally stick to it.
Leaders look after the pack and keep them safe whenever possible, keeping everything in order and giving honest guidance to their families when needed. These will be the top dogs.
Deputies help the pack and also give guidance, taking control when leaders are not there.
Bomber dogs search through unsafe bombed buildings to find any material or food that could be good use to the pack, and sometimes bring more members along the way.
Hunters don't usually hunt, since the bombs have driven most animals to extinction. These dogs go through trashcans and steal from bakeries and butcheries, bringing home whatever food they may find.
Messengers travel from tunnels to stations and back to railroads, gathering news and telling everyone about meetings and such. These dogs usually carry a barrel around their necks for notes and medicine.
Apprentices are often known as warriors-in-training. Warriors do most of the above, hunt, heal, and sometimes take messages and search through bombed buildings.
Elders are old dogs that can no longer go through with their duties.
Shamans are healers that bandage you up and apply medicine in times of need. These dogs are usually guidance counselors also.
