Grant could feel the presence of Deseray and the horse nearby. Feeling a little squeezed, though he was not, he trailed over to the end of the dirt path, leaving a gap between him and the girl. Just because we had a little conversation doesn't mean we can be "friends" and walk together. The bitter thought ran through him, though he did not realize the harshness in his movement or in his thought. Out of the corner of his eyes, he noticed movement from the girl, and he glanced her way, seeing her hand run through her brown hair. Brushing it off, he remembered that Deseray did not know his name. Deciding to finally release his name to her, he suddenly spoke, "Grant." It was a simple word, however Grant did not proceed to continue on.

Deseray saw he did not ask her more, or really take her words into account. She brushed it off and kept walking. Her eyes flicked over to him when he said a name. A simple name, yet unique. "I like it." She said kindly, giving him a smile. Deseray felt his uncomfortable vibe and let herself walk just a slight bit farther away. So now they weren't so close as though they would touch shoulders. They were now maybe a foot or two away from each other. "Sorry." She said, almost stumbling with her words as she realized how close she was before. The wind blew softly. Maybe he just wasn't a people person. "Sorry." She said again, shaking her head as if she did something stupid. Again, she ran a hand through her hair. "Sono un idiota" She mumbled to herself as they continued on. The silence continued on like this for a while until she finally decided to speak up to cover herself. "So, Grant, besides working here, what else do you do? For fun." She asked him slightly nervous from her previous fumble.

Grant casted a brief glance at Deseray for a moment, before turning his gaze away. He could feel the embarrassment slightly rise inside of the girl, though he ignored it, he too felt a little awkward. Saying nothing at the sound of Deseray muttering a different language under her breath, he zoned out a bit, drifting back into his own thoughts. However, before he could slip away, Deseray's casual question pulled him out. "For fun?" He repeated. He fumbled for an answer. Grant only came here to work a little, maybe for some money, but he didn't do anything else but read. The thought made him shift and glance down at the book, before he nested it deeper. "Nothing, really. I work for a while, before heading back home" Besides, most of the time he only stayed to work for a while, before leaving to return home to his father. He could see the stables a little far off, and seeing them made him relax a little. Though harsh, he was relieved to slip out of the grasps of human socialization and return to the quiet environment. "How about you?" He inquired, though he knew the answer was obvious.

((Yeah, Oreoz is right-thats all that has happened so far so don't worry you haven't missed to much. Just hop in when ever you feel like it!))

?Amie Hutchinson?
Seeing he had begun to eat Amie now also felt comfotable to start. Grabbing the medium sized spoon that was rested near her bowl she picked it up and began trying to pick up an apple, but it seemed to just slip stright off. Shrugging, Amie placed it on the table beside her bowl and began using her fingers to pick up the fruit-although it wasn't the most 'ladylike' way to eat it was the easiest. Looking at Shane smile smiled then picked up an apple and began munching on it. Hearing what the brunette had to say the 18-year old chuckled after finishing what was in her mouth "Yeah, I live in one of the cabins there-and usually go see my parents a few times a week.." she smiled as she picked up a grape and began eating it. Once finished she spoke again "So, do you live on the ranch?" she questioned with her beautiful smile still plastered across her face as she ran her opposite hand through her brown locks.

Shane snickered at how she was eating. He didn't care though. "Oh yes, I live n the ranch aswell." He sad taking a sip of his water. He took another bite of the pan cake and sighed, glancing outside at a fresian who was just let out of it's stall. "That's a beautiful horse..." He said half to himself.

Deseray listened to him carefully, taking in ever word he uttered. Another question for her popped through the air and she kicked some pebbles below her as she walked. "Um. Not anything really besides the obvious. I'm too focused on..." Her voice trailed off for a moment before she regained her sentence with a clear of her throat. "Other things." Besides her horse, she devoted as much time as she could to her family. She had two other jobs she worked at on certain dates, and barely had time for fun herself. Of course, Grant did not know this. She mentally slapped herself for being such a chicken and not telling him. But her family was a raw subject to speak of, and they were starting to lose money recently. Her brown eyes were cast at the barren floor, and she put one hand on her other upper arm. With a small sigh she tried her best to keep from getting any emotion inside herself right now. She cleared her throat again and looked up ahead for a moment. The ranch was visible in the distance, but they still had a ways to go.

She was obviously hiding something. Grant felt the sensation prickle through him, and with that he glanced at Deseray. A sigh had escaped her lips and she was staring ahead of her, her gaze fixed on the ranch. For a moment, he thought of asking her if she was okay, however he knew it would be rather awkward for him to be actually going to "sympathize" the girl. Anyway, the last thing he needed was a sobbing girl who was pouring out her problems to a random stranger, if she ever did speak of it. Though he was reluctant to ask, Grant fixed his attention onto Deseray. "You alright?" He softly spoke, a little wary of her answer.

(Internet is being a nub again-no pic for now)

Deseray ran a hand through her hair when she asked him this question. She didn't want to bore him with her sob story. "Yeah, I'm fine. It's just hard sometimes." Deseray said this simply and with a small sigh. He might understand, maybe he wanted more information, he didn't seem like a 'beat around the bush' kinda guy. If he wanted information or not, she was prepared to tell him if he did. ((SO SHORT)

((Sorry no photos, I'm busy))

Hearing the snicker from Shane Amie stopped for a moment and tilted her head, but guessed it was nothing and picked up her long glass. Parting her lips she fitted the cub between them and tilted-allowing the fresh juice to flow into her mouth, then placing it back on the table. Picking up a strawberry she began to eat, then turning her head as Shane spoke about a 'beautiful horse' and indeed it was. "Sure is, I can't wait to get my new horse!" She smiled, she did love Flicka so much and this would be more of a companion for her horse, but she would also train it and allow others to work on it. The brunette continued to smile as a small man lead the large black stallion past the window.

"Sure." He replied to her answer, understanding what she meant. Grant fixed his gaze back onto the path ahead of him, his left hand secretly playing with a loose thread inside his pocket. "So..." He trailed off for a moment, trying to grasp what words he should speak towards Deseray. "Do you want to talk about it?" He had seen others speak those words to those who seemed stressed out, and so he decided to direct them to Deseray, a little unsure if he had said the right thing. Grant wasn't those typical, sympathetic people. Sure, he'd listen, but he wouldn't show pity to you. ((/short))
