Athena

"Go ahead, tell me that I'm not good enough. Tell me I can't do it. Because I'll show you over and over again that I can!"

The crowd had stood silent for a few minutes now as they watched the two mamals circle one another-anger filling their faces. Anticipation and excitement running through the silent crowd as they watched "Ooh...arr" we the few words that would escape their mouths when one made a sudden, tormenting move to their opponent. Although many knew Athena loved winding up her opponent before she would attack, and that's what she was going now-it did become clear no one had warned the human of the lionesses fighting tactics which could make this an easy or a diffcult fight-it all depended on the humans experience, pace and skills.

Athenas attention was never upon the audience at any time when she had begun her fights, all locked onto her opponent-what she was showing in the apparent fight. Her thin tail violently swept back and forth as she circled in rhythm with the human who only held a wooden stick in his hand-but she would not get this wrong, although at wasn't the best weapon with a good enough swing with quite some force it could do some damage. But that wasn't putting her off. Her opponent was middle aged and seemed to have scars on his arms and legs-few on his face, although he wasn't that muscular he did have some on his bones. He seemed to be wary of the danger lurking in the stadium-and like most creatures Athena could sense his fear.

Eyes now narrowed and her muscles tensed the lioness took a lunge forward, the crowd gasping as she came to a sudden stop and began circling one again-most fights of hers were entertaining but could sometimes get a little boring at the beginning from all the lionesses taunts-but once the good stuff happened it did. Claming her jaws together and allowing her lips to curl back the golden feline allowed her bloodstained fangs to show in the mans direction, a growl rumbling up her throat as she quickly turned her direction-in order to keep the she-cat in his sight Mokau turned.

It was now five minutes into the fight and Atha had only sturred up the middle aged man who was now crouched slightly, arms out and the stick pointed in the lionesses direction. But although being threatened by a few shoves of the stick Athena managed to keep her cool-a smirk only growing on her face for a few seconds as she made a few lunges forward and a few twists and turned-her speed then picking up.

Circling the being for a few more seconds she decided it was time-teasing the crowd and her opponent had gotten boring but also sturred things like she wanted-now the fight could happen. Suddenly, the muscular feline skidded around and darted across the shiny floor of the stadium-her large paws violently thudded against the ground as she allowed her claws to slide out, her jaws now also parted ready to latch on. Growling Athena had managed to leap from her hind quarters and lunged towards the human-but a rough smack on the head sent her in a diffrent direction. Which only caused more anger to bubble inside of the feline and make her grow more competetive. Landing on the ground with a thud the she-cat gave her head a brisk shake, the crowd booing and shouting although this didn't put her off.

Taking a sturdy step back the lioness parted her jaws and allowed a loud roar to escape, the sound of anger filled the stadium as she slammed each paw against the ground, giving her opponent the 'death stare' as it was known-an evil look Athena would give her opponents which woud often startle them. Rolling her lips back over her teeth a growl rumbled up her broad throat and in a flash she was off. A huge head of fur bolting across the stadium at lightning pace, rage physically and emotionally showing on the lioness as she attacked once again.

Name: Castro
Age: 5 Years
Gender: Male
Personality: Castro is more on the quiet side but by all means is not shy. He enjoys a conversation every now and then but not all the time. He enjoys the rush fighting gives him and enjoys it greatly. He's a loyal Grizzly and a trustworthy friend. He doesn't usually have much conflict between himslef and the other animals for, because he's quiet, nobody really has a reason to dislike. He's also well liked in the arena by the spectators. He doesn't end the fights quickly woth a simple swipe of his paw and snap of his jaws he makes sure their deaths are slow.
What animal are you: Grizzly Bear
Appearance: I'm getting the pic|His muzzle bears many scars along with his flanks.
History: Castro was born out in the wild with a sister and, of course, his mother. He was captures only as a cub after the hunters killed his mother and sister. He grew up in captivity after that and was taught to hate and not to bite the hand of thenone that feeds him. He was in a perticular fight three years ago, a rookie you could say, and people were cheering for the gladiator. It made him mad slightly and he had risen to his full height, easily three feet taller than him. As the gladiator tried to plunge his spear into his chest but his head snapped down and he grabbed ahold of his spear, yanking it from his hands and snapping it in two before throwing it down and then jumping on top of him. He made this fight quick and swiped his claws against the gladiators bare chest then went for his throat, killing him instantly. Afterwards he rose up to his full hieght once again and let out a sort of roar.

Erebus looked at all the astonished animals, "I'm a Rhino! My name is Erebus." A human then placed a bunch of grass and leaves In front of him. "Leaves !" He smiled and began to eat.

Castro

Castro seized his eyes up upon seeing a rhino. He was quite shocked. He'd seen one years ago as a cub, but that one was long gone. He got to his paws and stepped hearing it speak. He wiped the stonished gaze from his face before speaking up. "Welcome to your own living nightmare.." He muttered and trodded back to the end of his cage and plopping down in the corner. "Where animals fight for their food and humans watch as kill other humans for their own personal amusement." He growled.

(Hey guys, I am going to make an official recap thingy so if someone can't post for a while they can read this.)

Recap:  The prisoner execution is almost over. The current fighter is Athena, played by Taylor. Below ground, the animals are introduced to Erebus the Rhinoceros, who just joined the stadium animals. The humans are also building something by the stadium.
There is also a new character, Castro the Bear, played by {^}Liepi{^}.

Ares nodded to the Bear's words, "Castro is right. You have to fight humans. And it's either kill or be killed out there. But in my opinion the good part is you get a human caretaker just for yourself."

"I would say that's always good.." He muttered quietly. He gave a nod to Ares and then lowered his head down to the ground. He yawned before closing his eyes and after a moment drofing off to sleep.

Sorry for shortness. I'm having a really bad day and am not in the mood for much of anything.))

Jupiter looked at the Rhino, "The others are right. But eventually you'll get used to it." Cato dropped a plate with meat. Jupiter began to eat, savoring the taste. He then finished, and licked Cato's hand.



Erebus took in all the comments, "Seems like a bad place.. but I will try to make the most of it."  Erebus huffed.
