So I suggest that we do this-
Let's keep Feral Heart as:
- a happy & fun place.
- a community of friends & family
- a safe refuge
- an imaginative canvas
- an escape from the harshness of reality
But more importantly let's start by improving ourselves as not only players but individuals.
>implying that everyone who plays the game will follow that
lmao
anyways jokes about rape, racism, sexism, etc are very offensive and anyone who jokes about it is trash. my brother seriously jokes about those topics and you do not believe how annoyed about it. but, i can't tell him to stop because he will call me way too sensitive, tell me to shut up, or ignore me. im angry that i have to stay with him at all times after school because he's always the boss of what i do or say. i am unable to tell him that his jokes are offensive. i'd rather watch my school's sport teams play for hours than stay with him and hear his trashy jokes. he actually offended a person by saying a racist joke, but of course he was unaware of it.
although,
light jokes around friends are pretty acceptable. for example, if someone sneezes in my math class, one person could say "omg u hav ebola dont touch me <:o" (then the class goes on about ebola for ten minutes). it's sarcastic and it's around friends. something more about ebola jokes, the reason people take it lightly is because it hasn't infected much of the western world. if someone would joke about it in the country where it's very viral in i'm pretty sure it would be taken more seriously. but this is only to a certain level. if you are
seriously joking about something serious such as racism, sexism, and rape, then it's not considered at a sarcastic level at all.
like what was mentioned a couple of times, some people may joke about stuff to let off steam and emotional feelings about their real issues in their life. i'm terribly sorry for mentioning something like this and i know everyone's annoyed by it but brendon urie has joked about him being bi-polar several times (although it wasn't really conformed he was actually diagnosed with anything like that). plus, my brother's friend earlier today had joked about his mother being an alcoholic, which im pretty sure it affects him personally.
"dark humor" isn't black and white, per say.
