No don't delete it, I just wanted to make sure it was still there because sometimes it disappears.

Hmm, I'm not sure what's causing the crash but you can try using & modifying (copy and paste your heightmap into it) this:

It's just a flat, standard heightmap for getting started... it has everything set up already.
You'll have to put it somewhere fh can find it though.

Oh! No, I did not, sorry.
I had never had this happen before so I wasn't sure what to do.. Heh.

Okay, so I did what you asked, but it still keeps on crashing :/

I even tried different methods, still nothing, just the same crashing, only the map of Vortex is loading up. That's it.

But did you place your height map over the top of Vortex's in Gimp? And then save it and delete your old one?
