((I'll watch the video after I read the books and watch the movie, I want everything to be a surprise for me XD
Even if there aren't any spoilers in it, I'm odd that way~))
At last, Kali had made a huge slip up. Cyris allowed himself an inward satisfactory smile, but that was all. Though this round was a victory for him, he couldn't allow himself to become overly confident or cocky, Kali was still a dangerous opponent and he couldn't allow himself to mess up even for a second. Though the look the Beta cast him sent cold joy through his being, now Kali really had to watch her back.
Meeting her gaze now, he enjoyed the emotions swimming in her irises, and hopefully to torment her even more he kept his own thoughts hidden behind a veil of mystery. What better way to torture your opponent than to hide from them what you planned to do? Hopefully the anxiety would eat away at her, making her jumpy and nervous around him. The female had pushed him too far, to have his own leader rethink his position in the pack he had grew up in and served since he was at least a year old, though it was only a mere low rank to start with, was unforgivable to him, and he wanted Kali to pay for it.
"Now now, Kali," the voice was smooth, leaking with poison, silently mocking the female. "You have no one here to blame but yourself, and you know that." The male walked forward toward the dark-coated wolfess, passing by her to lead the way to their destination. As he did so, he spoke once more just below a whisper, his voice haunting. "You entered a dangerous player into your game this time. Unfortunately for you, he doesn't plan on losing."

Karma didn't answer the question right away, electric-irises going up ahead at the looming buildings that belonged to the humans. Even with time frozen, she didn't feel quite comfortable entering the two-legs' domain. Especially with the scents left behind lingering in the air, it was almost suffocating and for a moment thought about asking Thirteen if they could go around. But no, that would take them longer and besides, the feline looked rather excited to go through. She'll just have to put up with it.
"I don't know," Karma finally answered. "You just looked a bit lonely back here."
Up ahead Dusk looked sideways at Lorcan with his comment, a rare soft smile barely noticeable upon his maw. Truth was he did like the sound of keeping this pack together and having a normal wolf life after this, but like the hard head that he was he knew there would still be some issues to resolve even if they could fix the Ribbons. For once, though, he didn't want to point out the blunt truth.
"Come on, now," he said abruptly, looking back to the others as if they had done something wrong. "I feel like we're leading a funeral session. I know we haven't exactly been having the greatest luck, but we could at least try perking up. Sheesh, you guy's are bringing me down."
Giving a fake snort, he turned his head and shook it. "I might as well hang around frozen wolves, not much difference if you ask me. At least we're all still moving and alive, that's reason enough for me to keep going." The insults weren't real, Dusk was getting weary of the gloom that kept overhanging above the small pack. Nearly to the point it frustrated and annoyed him, but he did his best to keep his attitude in check and be somewhat sympathetic to everyone. Even so, he wanted to rile them up, even if they snapped at him it was better than low heads and tucked-in-tails. With time frozen and unable to chase prey was already driving him near to insanity, the last thing he needed was a clouded mind and heavy heart.
