She looked over to ragnar, snapping out o her daydream. "Oh, i was just thinking about when i was a cub." she sighed heavily and then closed her eyes in a wide grin "Everything was so much easier..." she said, referring to the time she actually was under the care of her mother and father, not having to worry about catching her own food as well as other responsiblities that elders have to do. "Sometimes i just wish things would just be normal..." sighing once more she layed her head on her paws "But things happen for reasons..." she shrugged at this comment.

Ragnar thought bitterly of his own parents, but ignored his inner thoughts and asked, "What happened to your parents?" He kept both golden eyes trained on her as he heard the wind beat down on the roof of the castle. It was a wonder that the blizzards didn't just knock the whole castle down, but it still remained.

"You know..." She began, staring at the floor with a bitter smile splayed upon her maw "I dont really know... My mother told me to wait undercover while her and father went to search food, but after waiting a couple of days, they never came back..." She shrugged "Im sure they just got lost, i mean, they wouldnt have just left me there." she said with a spark of hope. Looking over at Ragnar she smiled lightly "Friends are family right?" she asked with a small smile "So your my family now!" she giggled childishly and returned her attention to the floor where she batted lightly at nails that stuck up awkwardly.

(History from a previous rp with my sis sis xD)

Shocked that she still believed they were still alive, he asked, "How long has it been since they left?" He was amused she considered him family, let alone a friend. "You really want me to be your friend?" He asked, a little skeptical. He nevered pictured himself as the friendly type. He was used to loneliness and solitude.

Anock looked back over to him and shrugged "Well i suposse they went missing right about the time that i turned about 8 months old..." she shrugged again and finished with "They are out there, so i just have to keep on looking." she smiled and turned away for a few seconds thinking to herself and soon faced Ragnar once more "Yeah, why wouldnt i? These past few days have been more fun and exciting then my entire life, besides, its better to have friends in this world then live alone your whole life..." She smiled lightly and finally said "Of corse i want you to be my friend, so long as you accept me as your too."

(Its ok lol)

Ragnar smiled a bit. "Yeah," he grinned. "I'd like that."

He laid his head down on the edge of his tapestry nest, breathing in the cool familiarness of it all. He closed his eyes, thinking about past, present, and future. The most uncertain was the future, but he would worry about that later. He finally opened his eyes and stood up, the cold hitting him like a wave when he got up from his cozy bed. He looked over at Anock and said, "I'm going hunting, I'll be back. The blizzard should have stopped by now, so you're free to explore the castle," he smiled. He then squeezed out the wooden door and padded down the stairs and through the courtyard, sneaking a glance at the stain on the wall, before leaving the castle to lower down the mountain where he might find some deer.

Anock nodded and got up as well, seeing him out of the castle. The air bit at her toes, so she decieded to stay inside and discover the courtyard on another day. She walked through the barraks as well as a few merchant stands and found nothing to interest her. She walked around a bit more eye staring upwards at the ceiling. With a couple more steps she found herself triping over a large lump of medal. She looked down after gathering herself and she noticed a little wodden hatch attached to the medal ring that had tripped her up. She grasped the medal ring in curiosity and pulled it, the hatch didnt budge. She frowned and tried again, and still the same result. She tried once more, taking a breath and yanking hard on it, with a creak and a small snap of rusted bolts it opened. She stood back, trying to see deper inside the passage, but it was too dark. With curiosity burning, she stepped down and into the passage way. After a few minutes her eyes fully ajusted to the light and she padded deeper within. She found shackles and cages, all holding what appeared to be bones. The stentch was outragious that she bent her head to cover her nose in her chest fur. There was blood splattered everywhere, the smell of mildew and decay were the most pormenent. Although it was obviously a place where no sane lion or lioness would discover, she was drawn in deeper, the sights horrifying her. As she neared the end, a giant cage sat open, just slightly ajar. She looked inside of it poking her head in slightly. All of a sudden a giant burst of wind pushed her into the cage, she fell over her two front paws. As she stood up she was frozzen, images of lions being tourchered, wiped by what appeared to be black vines, givin little food, tormented by these savage hairless beasts. She was in a trance that she couldnt snap out of. She saw elder liones, middle aged lions, and cubs, cowering against the stone walls that were covered in their blood, lions and lionesses roaring, trying to escape, pleading with no previal to let their cubs go. There were also feew that layed upon the ground, both in a fearing submission as well as those who had given up the fight and were slowly letting themselves decay and rot. Anock was so overwhellmed that she let out a roar, trying to make her head stop. She fell to the ground paws over her ears "Stop, please, Just make it stop!" she yelled and without a moments notice her visions haulted, only the drip of melted snow against stone was heard. She opened her eyes staring out of the bars of the cage "how could they..." she said weakly in discust.

(woohoo freakey deekey flashbacks!)

Ragnar soon caught the scent of deer, but it was farther down the fjord. He concidered going back to tell Anock he might be gone for a day hunting, he decided she wouldn't mind. He continued down the terrain and soon he had caught a nice, large moose. He bore a few scratches, the largest a gash that went from his shoulder to his forearm, but it was not deep and stopped bleeding within a few minutes. After he caught his rather large prey, he rested for a few moments, then grabbed the bull moose by its neck and climbed into a tree with it. He carefully hung the corpse in the tree to keep other predators away from his kill, then lept down and padded for the water.

Once there, he gave himself a good bath, washing away the grime, filth, and blood from his pelt and climbed back onto the shore. There he shook his fur and then trotted back to his moose. After retreaving it, he dragged it back up to the mountains. He soon cursed himself for getting a meal so big, but as least it was a little preserved in the cold. He soon found a small cave where he could stay for the night. He stored the moose in the back of the cave, the antlers clanging on the stone ground as he dropped it. He then curled up in the middle of the cave, closing his eyes until morning, thinking of Anock.
