A Standing Chance (Realistic Wolf RP)

     Abyss blinked as she directed her attention towards the alphess. "I don't know yet... I'm just hoping that we leave by morning." she sighed lightly as she snapped at a rat that was crawling into the cave. It was beeing an annoyance for far too long. But, now it was dead.

Aluxia nods and sits down, "Abyss, please let me guard tonight, you have fought, all of you and i have stayed here at the den. Please rest." she says looking over at her beta, she was not so much as asking as telling politely, she felt she needed to do something, her honor was challenged by herself twice today... she needed time to think.

Slayter had woken up at some time during their conversation. He blinked and shook his head. "I don't want you guarding. Find something a little less dangerous?" He asked softly and nodded. "But she is right about you, Aby. You're hurt and need sleep. Especially if we're moving tomorrow." He yawned and shook his pelt to help him wake up.

     Abyss cleared her throat. She was still very unused to being actually accepted into a pack by more than just a couple of other wolves. "It's my way of repaying the both of you. With all-due respect, I believe that I can at least do this much." She bowed her head respectfully to the alphas.

"Stop being so honorable!  You haven't slept in days!  You can't keep this up and soon your be so tired you won't be any use at all.  Go to sleep tonight and one of us can take your place.  We are a pack and we must share all the duties, including guarding the cave."  Nik said.

Slayter nodded. "Nick's right. Go to sleep, and that's an order." He smiled and nudged her with his muzzle gently before sittingdown. "Both of you." He said and looked to Aluxia.

A white wolf walked slowly with a small limp.  His paws where soaked in deep brown mud.  His ears were back and his lips were raised but there seemed to be no animal threatening him.  He stepped inside a cave hidden by vines.  A crow screeched into the night before landing beside him.  He cocked his head at the wolf.  He opened and closed his beak to make a clicking sound.  The wolf ignored the bird and walked to the end of the cave were a mass of reddish brown fur lay.  The mass moved then lifted it's head, revealing that it was a wolf.  A deep scare fan across his face and one eye bulged in it's socket.  One of his ears was ripped completely off.  The wolf was breathing deeply.  Each breath seemed to be a challenge for him.  The white wolf licked the sickly one's face almost lovingly.  He wined and pulled back.  The white wolf frowned and lifted his head.

     Abyss nodded slowly. She laid down in the spot she was in, and let her head lay against her paws. She took a steady, yet pained breath, and closed her eyes, finally feeling the impact of the length of time she had spent being awake.
     She began to sleep quietly, and dream...

Nik smiled at her as she began to sleep.  Then he looked at Slay.
"I can guard tonight,  I can't sleep anyway."  He said.

aluxia scowled and pads into the cave after abyss, she wasnt going to argue with slay. she plops down by abyss and closes her eyes. lunix bounds over to her and climbs onto her shoulder laying down.
