((Sorry it took me so long. It logged me out, so I had to retype it.))
((I'll just copy the post I made earlier and rewrite it a bit.))
A small whimper escaped the rabbit before Felix put an end to it. Blood splattered on the ground as Felix carelessly snatched up the limp body in his mouth and trotted forward, his mouth full of rabbit fur and drool.
His nose twitched as the scents of creatures drifted towards him from the forest, and the smell all fell in one place. He stifled a growl at the scent of human--two humans, actually, and a strange scent also. He sniffed harder, and he snorted at the scent of milk.
A human must be nursing a pup, Felix murmured to himself as he trotted towards the side of the forest. He weaved along the trees and ferns, keeping an eye out for any troublemaker humans.
When he spat out the rabbit, it no longer looked appetizing; drool mattered on its pelt, along with blood and torn fur. Snorting, he scraped dirt over his unwanted prey and continued on, dust billowing from his paws. His nose twitched again as he scented smoke.
Thrusting his way, he peered out of a bush near where the smoke was. He stifled a growl as he saw flames lapping at the fallen wood bark. He narrowed his eyes into slits as he noticed two humans resting by the fire.
Felix titled his head to one side at the sight of a little hand moving feebly in one the female human's arms. He frowned. What was that thing called again?
Ahh...yes...a baby. The strange name blazed in Felix's mind as he licked his lips. The "babies" were usually helpless when there was no "adult" human in sight.
What a tasty meal it would be, Felix continued with his thoughts. But it's such a shame that there's a male human here. If he wasn't here, then the female and baby human would make a splendid meal. But it's best not to take the risk.
Letting out a soft growl of frustration, Felix turned and tasted the air to hunt for more prey. His paws tingled at the scent of another rabbit, and he trotted through the forest in search of the prey.
"You come back here!" Felix snarled, frustrated. He had stalked the rabbit, but an idiot raven had let out a screech of alarm as it fluttered into the air. The call had scared the rabbit; making it flee, and now Felix had to chase it for a meal.
His paws thudded on the forest ground as he sprinted after the fattening rabbit, spitting with rage. The forest blurred as he raced even harder, and he enjoyed the wind as he tugged at his fur playfully. When he noticed the rabbit was slowing down, he let out a growl of triumph and easily overtook it, giving it a hard blow at its neck to dislocated it.
As he scooped up the dead body in his mouth, he stiffened. A strong scent of an enemy hung strongly in the air, and he jerked his head up to see the same humans by the fire. He was right in front of them--clutching his rabbit in his mouth, and his heart churned.
