Jake started to get worried after a few hours. He whistled and pulled Pistol over, quickly saddling him and mounting. "Billy, I'm gonna go look." He said and took off. After riding and tracking for a few hours, he stood outside the Indian village. His eyes narrowed as he leaned forward, trying to identify the type of Indian. He smiled lightly as he recognized the Sioux tribe. He clicked and pushed pistol forward. As he began to be confronted, he lowered off of Pistol and lifted his hands. "My friends, I mean no harm. Is this the tribe of Red Bird?" He asked, in the Sioux language. One of the Indians raised a brow and looked around. "Elizabeth! Charlie?" He called out.

Jake nodded. "I like babies. What can I say?" He asked and shrugged. He laid down and folded his arms behind his head as he waited for food.

Pistol sighed. "I'm sorry to hear." He said and nodded. "Maybe...he will somehow bring you closure or something." He smiled. Jake sighed. "Don't...do that." He said and plunked the foals nose gently to get him to drop the blanket. "Here." He said and picked the colt up, taking him over to Luna. "Don't eat blankets. You drink milk." He said and put him down, pressing his nose in the proper direction. "Good boy." He said and walked back to his bedroll. Jake glanced over. "She ain't a bandit, Charlie. She's a housewife." He chuckled.

Pistol snorted, glancing at the colt before walking after Mouse. "Because I saw it. You looked at the colt and your eyes got sad." He said as he too lowered his head, sniffing the water contently. Jake got his matches out and started the fire before going over to the foal. He took in a deep breath and continued towards Luna "How are ya feeling?" He asked and rubbed her whither. "Don't mind me." He smiled. He looked over her quickly and nodded. "Okay...we can work with this." He said and took a breath. He walked to the foal, patting his rump gently before continuing to set up his bedroll.

Pistol lifted his head from the water as Westwood came over. He slowly walked back over to the rest of his temporary herd. He looked over at Mouse as she spoke, tilting his head as he caught the sadness in her eyes. He lifted his hooves, walking over towards her. "You okay?" He asked as he nudged her shoulder gently with his muzzle. Jake pulled up some rocks into a small circle before glancing up at Billy. "You alright, Billy?" He asked as he stood up, picking up the sticks and beginning to form the fire.

After traveling for the few remaking hours of sunlight, Jake pulled to a stop. "Okay...we need to stop. Make camp. Charlie, you wanna hunt? I'll work a fire?" He asked and dismounted Pistol. He raised a brow as he looked up at her. "Billy, you could like...I don't know. Take care of your stuff." He laughed lightly and unsaddled Pistol, putting it on the ground. He unbridled the stallion, allowing him free range. Pistol lifted his head and quickly trotted over to the water.

47
Pistol's ears perked as Jake spurred him forward. "Thank you." Jake said as they began out of town. "Congrats, Luna. I didn't even hear you last night. You must be strong." He nickered and turned his head to look at her. Jake yanked his head the other way and Pistol squaled. Jake moved to the back of the pack and Pistol lowered his head to sniff the colt gently. "What are you gonna name him?" Jake asked curiously.

48
"Elizabeth, we don't have time. Get on your mare and let's go." Jake sighed and rubbed his face as he mounted Pistol. "You too, Billy. The foal will follow us, c'mon." Jake said and tugged his reins gently, pulling Pistol back a few feet. "Hurry up. We have been in this town long enough." He said, slightly annoyed.

Jake was leading Pistol out when he heard Elizabeth. "What? You've got to be -Removed by Moderator- me." He sighed and rubbed his face. "Charlie, can I talk to you?" He asked as he walked outside to where she was. "I'm seriously thinking of leaving Billy. He's...got a -Removed by Moderator- ton of baggage." He said quietly. Pistol's ears perked as he looked towards the barn. "I didn't hear her last night. Did you, Mouse?" He huffed. Jake looked over. "If it can walk, it will follow us. We ain't got time for waiting. Let's go." He yelled over at Billy and Elizabeth.

Jake took in a deep breath as they walked towards the livery. "Alright. Everyone's horses should be in stalls by now." He said and walked into the barn. Pistol lifted his head. He whinnied loudly and pawed at the door more than eager to leave. Jake smiled. "I know, bubba. You're ready to leave too." He said and patted the stallion before getting his tack off the shelf and stepping into the stall.
